Wetnfix is a brand name given to a wall plug fixing hiking kit. Commonly when a wall fixture (such as a curtain pole, towel holder) or a wall unit (shelf), has become loose due to an oversized hole or the drillbit produced a hole too big to support a wall plug, a cotton weaved pad impregnated with a special formulated gypsum is used to fix it into place. The pad which is first wetted, wrapped around the plug and inserted in the hole hardens after 3 minutes and fixes it securely into the brickwork, masonry, ceramic, wood and plasterboard allowing a wall fixture to be applied.

An earlier solution to this was first produced by Rawlplug and consisted of dry white asbestos fibres, however due health hazards associated with asbestos, it is no longer in the marketplace.
