d. ^ The pre-arrival visa is a free Entry Permit Letter, obtained by e-mail request. The permit allows only the entrance. While in Abkhazia, visit the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, in Sukhumi, to obtain the actual visa which will serve as an exit permit document.
e. ^ If entering from Russia, do not exit to Georgia, because you will be subject to punishment and fines by Georgian customs. By Georgian law, crossing the Russian-Abkhazian border is considered a violation of the Georgian border regime (an illegal entry to Georgia), whereas Georgia doesn't recognize Abkhazia and considers it a part of its territory. From the Georgian law point of view, a legal travel into Abkhazia must be originated and ended in Georgia. Entering Abkhazia from Georgia and exiting by land to Russia (or by air or sea to another country) will be considered an illegal exit of Georgia. Try not to enter Georgia with a passport used to travel to Abkhazia by entering from Russia and then exiting back to Russia, or by entering from Georgia and then exiting to Russia.
f. Visas can be obtained only from Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's Permanent Mission in Armenia. Request consular or border officials to issue the visa or entry/exit stamps on a separate piece of paper, otherwise you won't be able to travel to Azerbaijan with that passport. Azerbaijan considers Nagorno-Karabakh Republic part of its territory and will revoke visa, turn away, deport or even arrest anyone who attempts to enter the country with a Karabakh visa and entry/exit stamp in his passport.
g. ^ Visitors intending to stay in Transnistria more than 24 hous must register with the local police (fee: 2 US Dollars).
