Teresa Giudice (play /ˈdi/) (born Teresa Gorga on May 18, 1972) is an American television personality, best known for starring in The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Besides appearing on the show, Giudice has written three New York Times Best Selling cookbooks and was featured on Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice. She currently resides in Towaco, New Jersey with her husband and four daughters.

Early life

Her father, Giacinto Gorga, and mother, Antonia Gorga, immigrated from Sala Consilina, Italy and raised Teresa and her brother Giuseppe, also known as Joe, in an Italian Catholic home in Paterson, New Jersey.[citation needed]

Career

She graduated from Berkeley College with a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management[1] and then went on to work as an associate buyer for Macy's[2] in New York. She also worked in the fashion industry in New York, specifically as a contributor to Vogue magazine.[citation needed]

She has co-authored three successful Italian cookbooks, each of which includes family recipes handed down by her mother New York Times Best Seller[3][4][5]. The first, Skinny Italian[6], was published 4 May 2010; her second cookbook, Fabulicious[7], was published 3 May 2011; and Teresa's third cookbook, Fabulicious!: Fast & Fit[8], was released on 8 May 2012. Teresa has also created her own successful line of Bellini cocktails, called Fabellini. She also has her own haircare line with Jerel Sabella called Milania(name after her daughter)..[citation needed]

Aside from appearing as one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, wherein she became infamous for flipping a table[9] towards the end of season 1 (episode 1.6, "Final Dinner", airdate June 16, 2009), Giudice is also a committee member for former RHONJ co-star Dina Manzo's charity, Project Ladybug. In 2012, she joined the cast of the reality competition The Celebrity Apprentice 5 (also known as The Apprentice 12), ultimately raising $70,000[citation needed] for her selected charity, The NephCure Foundation. She was fired in episode 12, which aired 6 May 2012, placing fifth.
