Social services are a range of public services provided by any national or regional government organization for its residents.

Social services include the benefits and facilities such as education, food subsidies, health care, and subsidized housing provided by a government to improve the life and living conditions of the children, disabled, the elderly, and the poor in the national community.

Not all public services are social services.

Some companies use social service as a means of marketing or to save taxes.
