Shakib Khan[1][2] also Sakib Khan (Bengali: শাকিব খান)[3] is a Bangladeshi film actor. His original name is Masud Rana Shakib Khan.[4] He made his acting debut in the film Anonto Bhalobasha. after few years Khan established himself as one of the most successful and highest paid actor in Bangladesh film history.[5] Throughout his career, Khan has received various awards and acclamations, including a National Film Award for Best Actor In Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na.[6][7][8]

Khan's films include Amar Swapno Tumi (2005), Chachu (2006), Koti Takar Kabin (2006), Dadima, Pitar Ason (2007), Mone Prane Acho Tumi (2008), Tumi Swapno Tumi Shadhona (2008), Mone Boro Kosto (2009), Shaheb Name Golam (2009), Jaan Amar Jaan (2009, Bolbo Kotha Bashor Ghore (2009), Preme Porechi (2010), Poran Jaye Jolia Re, Nissash Amar Tumi(2010), Hai Prem Hai Bhalobasa (2010), Matir Thikana (2011), Tiger Number One (2011), Boss Number One (2011)' Tor Karone Beche Achi(2011) and Priya Amar Jaan(2011) Mayer Morjada (2006), Amar Praner Swami (2007), Priya Amar Priya (2008), Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na(2010), Number One Shakib Khan(2010) and Khoder Pore Ma(2012) has been highest-grossing Bangladeshi film.[9][10]

He made his debut in Shonor Rahaman Sohan's “Anonto Balobasha” in 1999.[2] Presently he is the president of Film Artist Association and also working with different socio cultural activities.[11] He is also the brand ambassador of 'Pran Power Energy drink'[12][13] and 'Asian Duplex Town'.

Early life[edit]

Shakib Khan was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and was grown up along with his elder brother & sister by his parents.[14] His father's job required the family to frequently relocate from one city to another during his schooling days. In many interview he said that he did not mind travelling and changing schools. after getting good result in SSC he had enrolled in college to study either engineering or doctor, but discontinued after getting chance to act in films.[15]
