Ryan Anthony Guzman (born September 21, 1987)[1][2] is an American actor and model. He is best known for portraying Sean Asa in the fourth and fifth installments of the Step Up series. Before he began acting, he was a model.

Guzman was born in Abilene, Texas,[3] to Lisa (née Hudson) and Ray Guzman.[4][5][6] He moved to Sacramento, California, his mother's native city, at a young age.[7] He attended Sierra College.[8] Guzman has a younger brother, Steven.[9][10] His father is Mexican. His mother, who was born in California, has English, Scottish, German, French, and Dutch ancestry.
