Biography[edit]

Growing up in Springdale, AR, Robert Venable performed in several bands and eventually made the decision to pursue a career in music. He attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ, where he graduated top of his class. While in school, Robert interned at several studios in the Phoenix metropolitan area, such as The Saltmine Studios and Phase Four, quickly making the transition from assisting to engineering. In 2005, he was hired as head engineer at Paradise West Recording Studios in Scottsdale, AZ. In 2009, Robert relocated to Nashville, TN and worked in various studios as he built his own.

With years of experience in the studio, Robert has worked on hundreds of singles, EPs, and full length albums, and worked with Grammy Award-winning and Gold and Platinum-selling recording artists.

Robert has mixed, engineered, and/or produced music for respected artists in a variety of genres, including Megadeth, Jennifer Lopez, Kutless, Framing Hanley, Spoken, Tamia, Disciple, Scott Stapp, and INXS. He has also worked with Seventh Day Slumber, Building429, Me In Motion, You Hang Up (featuring Frankie Muniz), Stars Go Dim, Saint Chaos (featuring members from P.O.D., Spoken, Disciple, and Pillar), NBC (Saturday Night Live), Fox (Glee, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid), Burning Yesterday, Cord of 3, Katelynne Cox, and more.

Robert currently resides in Franklin, TN and works out of Off The Wall Studios, his private recording studio, where he produces and mixes pop, rock, R&B, metal, CCM, hip hop, gospel, and country. He is noted for his ability to work with a wide variety of genres and for developing a personalized "sound" for each of his artists.

In addition to producing and mixing, Robert is actively involved in artist development. In 2012, Robert made an appearance, portraying himself as a producer, in the pilot episode of the American musical drama television series, Nashville.
