Peter Mooney (born 1983) is a Canadian actor, perhaps best known for his role as Officer Nick Collins on the drama series Rookie Blue and for playing Sir Kay on the historical fantasy series Camelot.

Private life

Mooney was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, Quebec (2004), and now resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Career

He starred in the television series Falcon Beach on Global Television and ABC Family in the role of Dr. Adrian Keeper (2006 Season). He has also starred in stage productions such as Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Measure For Measure, and The Goat Or Who Is Sylvia. At a young age he became involved in the Manitoba Theatre For Young People.

He replaced Blake Bashoff in the role of Moritz Stiefel in the National Tour of Spring Awakening in early April, 2009.

In 2009, Mooney starred in the Canadian independent thriller Summer's Moon as Tom Hoxey, alongside Twilight actress Ashley Greene, who portrays Summer.

In November 21, 2010 Starz picked him to play Kay in their television series Camelot.
