Maxwell George "Max" Schneider (born June 21, 1992) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, actor, model, and musician.

Biography[edit]

He began performing at age three and got his first agent at the age of 14.[1] He was the 2010 YoungArts Theater Winner. Since then, Max was a swing understudy in 13 the musical covering 4 roles in 2009, and modeled with Madonna for an international Dolce And Gabbana campaign. He announced in April 2012 that he would tour with Victoria Justice in her "Make It In America" tour during Summer 2012. Max and his band, "The Babes", did a 20 city tour adding on three extra shows in addition to the Victoria Justice concerts. Max toured with his band, also known as "Max and the Babes" in select cities for his "Nothing Without Love" tour in the summer of 2013.

Schneider was raised in Woodstock, New York. He was raised Jewish.[2]

Career[edit]

2010–12: collaborations, Rags, & How To Rock[edit]

As a songwriter, Max has collaborated with songwriters and producers writing towards his own album and towards other artists. In 2012, Max co-wrote the song "Show You How To Do" with Ben Charles for the Disney hit show Shake It Up. He portrayed Zander in the Nickelodeon TV series How to Rock. Zander played the keyboard, guitar, and ukulele in Gravity 5. The show ended in December 2012, after its first season. He also sold a song to the show called "Last 1 Standing", co-written by Matt Wong and Claire Demorest, which is featured in 2 episodes of the series. Max also starred in the Nickelodeon original film Rags as Charlie Prince, the lead role in the film. In late 2012, Max placed another song with Cody Simpson for his album Paradise entitled "Standing in China". Max has multiple original songs featured on his YouTube channel. Max co-wrote the song with Kurt Hugo Schneider and Matt Gerrard and it was featured on the Target exclusive edition of the album. He released his first EP titled First Encounters in 2010.

He has collaborated with Kurt Schneider and Victoria Justice in a Bruno Mars Medley, Maroon 5 Medley, and a Holiday Medley. He can also be found doing covers with other acts such as Savannah Outen, Megan & Liz and Avery. He has also done a cover of Without You By Usher, Breakeven by The Script, Suit and Tie by Justin Timberlake, and many more. All of the collaborations Max did with Kurt Schneider can be found on iTunes. The album is called, "Schneider Brother Covers", although it should be noted that the two of them aren't actually related at all. Max most commonly refers to his fanbase as "Schneider Monkeys".

2013–present: Nothing Without Love[edit]

Max is now working on an independent LP titled Nothing Without Love. Max has announced that Dan Karp, director and guitar player, will be shooting some of the music videos for the album. The first single off the LP "Nothing Without Love" was released on May 21, along with a music video for the song. On May 26, 2013, a music video was released on YouTube with Max and his co-writer Kurt covering "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. An early version of his later single "Mug Shot" was featured in the 2014 film Veronica Mars as "Stick Up."
