This article lists universities in Switzerland.

Official higher education institution[edit]

According with the Swiss law on publicly financed universities and the body CRUS,[1] there are 12 general higher education institutions in Switzerland (10 cantonal universities and two federal institutes of technology plus a number of specialized universities), e.g., Universities of Applied Sciences:
