My Little Pony Friendship is Magic logo.svg

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated television series developed by Lauren Faust. The show premiered in the United States on October 10, 2010, on Hub Network alongside with the launch of the Hub Network. Sixty-five episodes have aired throughout the first three seasons of the series. While the show is in its fourth season, a fifth season has been announced. Episodes are approximately 22 minutes long and a season comprises 26 episodes (with the exception of Season 3, which contained 13 episodes). My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is produced by Hasbro Studios in the United States and DHX Media/Vancouver in Canada. In the United States, the series is rated TV-Y.

Also the 2013 animated film My Little Pony: Equestria Girls took place between the show's third season finale and its fourth season, it is a spin-off to both the toy line's current line up and the Friendship Is Magic television series.

Season 4 (2013–14)[edit]

The fourth season of the series premiered on November 23, 2013.[3] At the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 event, five minutes of the show's season four storyboard animatics were showcased, previewing episodes relating to Scootaloo's flight problem, the main characters becoming superheroes, Pinkie Pie traveling with the Apple family, and Luna transforming into Nightmare Moon.[9] It will also feature a visit from Pinkie Pie's sisters, a showcase episode for Rarity, and Pinkie Pie "giving a run for her party planning money".[3] Like the first 2 seasons, it will have 26 episodes. This will also be the first season to have a long story arc in the series.[10]
