It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is an American comedy television series that began airing on August 4, 2005 on FX. The series follows "The Gang", a group of five depraved underachievers: twins Dennis and Deandra "Sweet Dee" Reynolds, their friends Charlie Kelly and Mac, and their adoptive father Frank Reynolds, who run Paddy's Pub, a run-down bar in South Philadelphia.

The series was renewed for a tenth season which debuted on January 14, 2015.[1] In April 2014, the series was renewed for an eleventh and twelfth season, each to consist of 10 episodes.[2]

Seasons 11 and 12[edit]

On April 4, 2014, FX announced the show would have an 11th and 12th season, extending their work with Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton's company RCG Productions through 2017.[2]
