History

LVCHS was established in 1988 as a cooperative among three Lehigh Valley, Christian elementary schools – Bethlehem Christian School, Lehigh Christian Academy, and Phillipsburg Christian Academy – desiring a continuation of their education style from the ninth to the twelfth grades. However, according to the owner of the building, the school will soon lose its lease on the building due to the fact that the Medical Academy Charter School is sharing the building, and has plans to propose to the Catasaqua School Board to buy the building; which will accommodate 400 students. In that case, Lehigh Valley Christian High School must be moved or disbanded.[1]

Student body

While located in and drawing students from Allentown, the students of LVCHS also come from other municipalities in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.

The current enrollment is 140.[1]

Accreditation and memberships

Lehigh Valley Christian High School has earned accreditation from both the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International, the latter of which the School is also a member. LVCHS is also a member of Mid-Atlantic Christian School Association.[1]

Athletics

LVCHS competes in District XI of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. The Cougars field teams in boys and girls soccer, field hockey, girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, baseball, and track and field.[2]
