Kobe Tai (born January 15, 1972) is the professional name of a pornographic actress and adult model who is of Taiwanese and Japanese ancestry.[1] She entered the adult film industry at the age of 24, and appeared in over 70 films between 1996 and 2003. She chose "Kobe Tai" because she thought it meant good luck, but now admits she has no idea if it means anything.[citation needed] She was long married to porn actor Mark Davis, with whom she often performed, but now is divorced from him.[1] She was a contract performer with Vivid Entertainment.[2]

Mainstream films

In addition to her roles in porn films, Kobe Tai appeared in the mainstream movie Very Bad Things, portraying a stripper who is accidentally killed at a bachelor party.[3] She has appeared on The Man Show and The Helmetcam Show.[3] She did background vocals for Marilyn Manson's song, "New Model No. 15", on the album Mechanical Animals.[4]

She attended the Big Apple Anime Fest, held in New York City in October 2001, for her voice role in the OVA Koihime, and was an Opening Night Guest of Honor along with Asia Carrera at the fest's Midnight Anime Concourse. She still occasionally performs nude as a pole dancer at special adult cinema events.[5]
