Ferrazzi Greenlight[edit]

Ferrazzi founded Ferrazzi Greenlight, a Los Angeles-based strategic consulting firm with the associated Greenlight Research Institute, in 2003. The firm focuses on the importance of positive relationships to business success.

Ferrazzi Greenlight's clients include General Motors, Procter & Gamble, The Royal Bank of Scotland, American Express, Merrill Lynch, Intel, Thomson Reuters, and Deutsche Bank. Their client work concentrates on the following areas:

  1. Virtual Teams: The Harvard Business Review ran an article as well as an online webinar based on Ferrazzi Greenlight’s research into best practices in increasing the effectiveness of virtual teams.
  2. Sales Effectiveness: The vice president of marketing at British Telecom has measured the return on investment of the Ferrazzi Greenlight approach by saying, “Our investment in up-skilling our account teams is paying off. The Ferrazzi Greenlight account-based coaching has already delivered $1.1 billion in new closed work and $3.7 billion in pipeline.” The Harvard Business Review featured an article by Ferrazzi on turning relationships into sales.
  3. Culture Change and Behavior Engineering: Ferrazzi Greenlight has been identifying behaviors that block organizations from achieving strategic goals and coaching organizational transformations since 2003. An article in Business Insider credited Ferrazzi’s team with the launch of the 1Dealer program at GM, which GM North America president Mark Reuss described as, “A pretty massive change with our field staff to get them focused on enabling customer satisfaction and retention with our dealers.”

In 2009 Ferrazzi launched myGreenlight.com, an online learning academy for “people skills” that delivers an independent learning curriculum for sales people and business professionals. Ferrazzi Greenlight continues to evolve and deliver that content.

Foundations[edit]

Ferrazzi previously served on Yale University’s Board of Alumni Governors, was a Fellow of the Berkeley College at Yale, and previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Kiski School in Pennsylvania.

He is a founder and the chairman of Equality 1st, a foundation focused on ensuring everyone an equal chance of success in the workplace. Ferrazzi also founded and has served as chief marketing officer for the business forum Big Task Weekend. This invitation-only event brings together a diverse group of C-level leaders from Fortune 500 organizations to facilitate partnerships aimed at solving the world’s biggest challenges in a way that creates positive social change while addressing a business need.

Ferrazzi's Greenlight Giving foundation carries on that work in addition to supporting a variety of philanthropic activities, including improving the lives of underprivileged children in developing communities, advancing reform of the foster-care system in the United States, providing career counseling to returning veterans and developing future leaders through encouraging entrepreneurship among college students. The foundation's Words 2 Life program, that reaches out to at-risk youth through music and storytelling, was featured on CBS in 2013.[6]
