History

Just Brakes was founded in 1980 in Bryan, Texas. In 1994, the Cloud family purchased Just Brakes with approximately 12 stores in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. In 1996, business then expanded to Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Subsequently, Just Brakes grew rapidly in the 1990's across many major markets in the United States. In 2011 Just Brakes expanded their service offerings beyond Just Brakes to include Factory Scheduled Maintenance services. The services include oil changes, shocks and struts, air and cabin filter replacement, tire rotation, coolant, power steering, and various fluid exchanges, fuel system services, battery replacement, windshield wiper blade and engine belt replacement, and in select locations alignment and tire balancing services.

Associations

Just Brakes is a member of the National Council of Better Business Bureaus (BBB),[1] the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA)[2] and the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP).[3] Just Brakes has been a member of the Dallas BBB since 1994,[4] but lost its membership in the Fort Worth BBB in 2007 following complaints about its advertising and sales practices.[5]
