Jesse James Dupree (born September 22, 1962) is an American rock guitarist and lead singer in the band Jackyl. His most famous routine involves playing a chainsaw during the song "The Lumberjack".

He also started a solo project with guitarist John Hayes and bassist Roman Glick (formerly of Brother Cane).[1] His 2000 solo release Foot Fetish, issued on V2 Records, featured the single "Mainline", which hit #34 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.[2] Dupree also has a customized electric guitar with a chainsaw attached. He endorses an extremely large customized chainsaw powered by a Dodge Hemi, used for festivals. In September 2001 Dupree performed a cover of AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" for the ECW Music CD Anarchy Rocks Extreme Music Volume 2.

Dupree released a new album on July 15, 2008 called Jesse James Dupree & Dixie Inc - Rev It Up and Go-Go. Two videos were released in promotion of the new CD: "Money Lovin & Speed" and "Bite".

Jackyl[edit]

Jackyl is an American Southern Rock band from Kennesaw, Georgia. The band formed in 1991 and quickly earned notice from top industry professionals. This led to a record deal with Geffen Records.

Jackyl earned two Guinness Book of World Records citations and the title of "The Hardest Working Band in Rock 'n' Roll" for performing 100 shows in 50 days, as well as 21 shows in 24 hours. Dupree says the hardest of the two was 21 shows in 24 hours; Jackyl completed that task in Texas, and the shows were all done with full lights and sound.

Jackyl still tours heavily across the United States, and is a regular on the rock festival circuit each year.[3]

Jesse James Dupree currently appears on Full Throttle Saloon which airs on truTV on Mondays at 10 P.M. Dupree is the Executive Producer of the top rated reality show, which just completed its fifth season on February 2, 2014.[4]

Mighty Loud Entertainment[edit]

Dupree started Mighty Loud Entertainment which is a record label and artist management company. Through Mighty Loud, Jesse acts as the General Manager of Kiefer Sutherland's label Ironworks and also runs an imprint label as part of the Universal Music system. Mighty Loud manages artists such as Nigel Dupree Band, Jackyl, Wayland, Babi Mac and more.[5]

Jesse James Spirits[edit]

Still an active, touring member of the entertainment business, Jesse James Dupree launched Jesse James Spirits, and introduced the Jesse James America's Outlaw brand. Jesse James Spirits has launched Jesse James America's Outlaw Beer as well as Jesse James America's Outlaw Bourbon Whiskey. The bourbon comes in three flavors, original, spiced, and honey, the most recent addition to the product line is the 1.75L bottle in the original flavor. With national distribution, the products have been well-received and remain in high demand.[6]
