Jacob O'Neal Latimore, Jr. (born August 10, 1996) is an American R&B/pop recording artist, actor, and dancer.

Life and career[edit]

Latimore was born in Milwaukee, the son of Latitia Taylor and Jacob Latimore, Sr.[1] He, his father, and his uncles formed to make the inspiring quartet, The Latimore Brothers.[2] At around nine years old, Latimore knew he wanted to pursue a career in the music business. Moving forward, Jacob teamed with local Milwaukee producers to produce his first song "Best Friend," which was featured on Radio Disney. Taking his music career seriously, Jacob relocated to Atlanta in 2007. There began to get introduced to the Atlanta music scene, including executives and tastemakers. This attracted Grammy award winning producer Rodney Jerkins and R&B musician Lloyd, but also introduced him to producers, one being Rico Love, who produced his viral single "Superstar" that had charted on Billboard R&B and Hip Hop Sales charts.

In 2010, Jacob, signed to RCA Records, after being noticed by A&R, Wayne Williams.[3]

Jacob’s first single “Like ‘Em All" featuring Diggy Simmons and produced by Infinity, was released in 2011. The song was later followed by the radio-edit remix,[4] which featured Atlanta hip-hop recording artist, Issa.

After being discovered by talent agent Joy Pervis (Dakota Fanning & Lucas Till) in 2008, Jacob booked several commercials and voiceovers. Jacob's first lead role came in early 2011 with feature film Vanishing on 7th Street starring Hayden Christensen and Thandie Newton.

In 2013, Jacob was featured in two major films including Black Nativity[5] as Langston, and Ride Along,[6] as Ramon. He also appeared in the movie The Maze Runner,[7] which was released in theatres September 19, 2014. He is currently working on a film titled "Just One Shot", which is set to release in 2015.
