Jack Venice (born Christopher Jack Reid on February 25, 1982, in Texas) is a former American pornographic actor. He started his pornographic career around the age of 22, and he has appeared in over 300 adult films.[2] He has worked with Shane's World, Penthouse, New Sensations, Brazzers and many other Adult Film production houses.[3]

Early life and career[edit]

A former U.S. Marine who served in Iraq, he has a tattoo around his upper left thigh depicting a band of large caliber machine gun ammunition, and a large red sunburst tattoo on his upper back.[1]

During 2007-08, he directed three adult movies with "Shane's World" as distributor.[3] He was in a relationship with Hanna Hilton, which prompted her to join the porn industry.[4]

Rape case[edit]

In 2007, Reid was charged with second degree rape and multiple counts of burglary for an assault on a Washington State University student. The incident took place in September of that year. Reid was originally released in October 2007 on a $200,000 bail paid by his girlfriend Hilton. On December 22, 2008, he was convicted after jury deliberations that lasted just three hours,[5] and given a maximum sentence of life in prison for his crimes.[6] That conviction was affirmed in April 2010, by the Washington Court of Appeals, which rejected Reid's claims that his trial lawyer had been ineffective and that the evidence against him had been insufficient.[7] In September 2010, the Washington State Supreme Court denied further review in the case.[8] Reid is currently incarcerated at the Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen, Washington, and his Department of Corrections number is 324543. He will be eligible for parole in February 2017, after serving 9 years of his sentence.[9] He has posted a 9 1/2 minute video on YouTube asserting his innocence and speaking out against Washington State's sentencing laws.[1]. There was also an online petition to the governor of Washington requesting that he either free Reid or grant him a new trial. [2]
