Hertswood Academy (formerly Hertswood School) is a secondary school with academy status situated in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. It enrolls boys and girls from the age of 11 to 18. It also offers a sixth form for students who wish to continue their studies into AS and A levels.

Hertwood School was established in 2000 by an amalgamation of five former local schools. This is reflected in the two different sites of the school today. The lower school in Shenley Road was previously known as Nicholas Hawksmoor School. Prior to that, up until 1970 it was Borehamwood Grammar school. The upper school in Thrift Farm Lane was formerly Holmshill Secondary Modern, built around 1970. The school has gained specialist status as an Arts College, and became an academy in 2012, changing its name to Hertswood Academy.

An Ofsted inspection, which took place in 2012, found the school to be good in "quality of teaching", "behaviour and safety of pupils" and "leadership and management".[1]
