Sage Alcazar was a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. She was portrayed by Eileen Boylan in 2003, and then by Katie Stuart in 2004.

Sage Alcazar arrives in Port Charles with one thing on her mind: revenge. A gun-toting Sage stalks Alexis Davis for days, waiting for the right moment to wreak havoc on her life, because Sage believes Alexis had murdered her father Luis in cold-blood. However, that right moment never comes for the obviously tormented teen. In order to receive attention, Sage jumps off the dock and into the river. Dillon Quartermaine jumps in after to rescue her, soon realizing it was just a stunt for attention. Dillon takes Sage back to the Quartermaine mansion, where Dillon's girlfriend, Georgie Jones, sees Sage hiding under Dillon's bed and gets upset.

Sage continues to pursue Dillon, and convinces her uncle Lorenzo to make Dillon her bodyguard. Soon after, Dillon is forced to take Sage out of the country to keep her safe. While away, Sage gets Dillon drunk and he passes out. When Georgie calls, Sage pretends that she had bedded Dillon, but Dillon is able to convince Georgie it isn't true.

Dillon's mother Tracy returns to town, and tries to keep Dillon and Georgie from seeing each other. She promises Georgie she will make Dillon stop working for Alcazar if Georgie stops seeing him. Georgie agrees and breaks up with him for his safety. Heartbroken, Dillon falls into bed with Sage. A gleeful Tracy sets up Georgie to discover Dillon with Sage. Dillon tries to explain but Georgie refuses to listen. Sage tells Dillon that she had been a virgin and that their night together meant something to her. She is crushed when he says he wished it had never happened. She continues to pursue a relationship with Dillon, but he continually rebuffs her attempts to get close to him again.

Tracy's granddaughter Brook Lynn arrives in town having run away from home. Her mother Lois shows up to find her and her father Ned convinces them to stay and run their old record label L&B again. Lois hears Sage sing and has her sign a recording contract.

Sage doesn't get along with Brook Lynn very well and continually defends her uncle and his new relationship with Lois. But when a contest is announced to find the next big girl band, Sage groups with Brook, Georgie, and Dillon (dressed in drag) to try out for the competition. Sage is crushed to hear that the group was only supposed to launch a future solo career for Brook.

When Brook holds a séance to communicate with her deceased great-grandmother Lila, Sage sieges her opportunity to scare everyone. With the help of her friend Trent, she makes it appear that Lila's spirit is moving things around. Then she pretends that she has been stabbed, and when the others find out they yell at her. She yells back and taunts Georgie that Dillon still wants her. Georgie finally has enough and locks Sage in the basement freezer. When they go downstairs to get her out, they find Sage dead instead. Georgie blames herself for locking Sage in the freezer, and Tracy overhears her "confession." She calls the cops and eventually the real killer is found to be Mary Bishop, who meant to kill Emily Quartermaine and killed Sage by mistake.

Afraid that Lorenzo would come after Georgie for locking Sage in the freezer, Dillon tries to fall on his sword for her. But Lorenzo tells Dillon he was grateful for him being Sage's friend and for getting to know her. He gives Dillon a letter Sage had written for him but never sent. Dillon reads the letter to their friends, who realize they should have given Sage more of a chance.

Kiefer Bauer is a fictional character on the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital, played by Christian Alexander. He was the first boyfriend of a newly SORASed Kristina Davis.

Since his debut, Kiefer has been proven to be violent towards Kristina. In June 2009, Kiefer gets in to a bar fight with Kristina's 17-year old brother Michael Corinthos, who recently got out of a coma. Kiefer constantly harasses Michael, leading to the point where the two fight at the Port Charles Country Club. Months later, Kiefer proves to be untrustworthy when he begins flirting with another senior while dating Kristina. Kiefer helps Kristina cover her tracks in July 2009 when she ran over a pregnant Claudia Zacchara Corinthos, who later suffers a miscarriage.

Kiefer has also voiced his opinion on Sonny Corinthos but is proven to be a coward in front of him. Kiefer becomes jealous of Kristina's friendship with Ethan Lovett, which turns in to a crush. After Kristina ditches Kiefer for Ethan, Kiefer beats Kristina up. To protect him from Sonny's wrath, Kristina tells everyone that Ethan was the one who abused her. Sonny's lieutenant and best friend, Jason Morgan, realizes that Kristina is lying and convinces Detectives Dante Falconeri and Lucky Spencer to investigate further. On April 2, they finally discover that Kiefer was the culprit.

Out of rage, Kiefer beats up Kristina again but this time, Kristina's mother Alexis witnesses Kiefer exiting the house right before finding Kristina unconscious on the floor. While driving to the hospital, a distraught Alexis runs over her daughter's abuser. Kristina's sisters Molly Lansing and Sam McCall find Kiefer's body and he dies shortly after being admitted to General Hospital. Alexis hides her guilt for a while, but eventually confesses. Meanwhile, Kristina is questioned by Dante and finally identifies Kiefer as her attacker on both occasions. The truth quickly becomes public knowledge, and Ethan is cleared of all charges and given a clean slate.

Kiefer appears one last time on June 2. Kristina has a dream of Kiefer being next to her bed, telling her to get up so they can go to the beach together. Kristina refuses, and Kiefer quickly becomes violent and slaps her right before Kristina wakes up.

Kristina Cassadine (previously Carter) was a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. She was portrayed by Jamie Ray Newman.

Kristina Cassadine is the daughter of Mikkos Cassadine and opera singer Kristin Bergman, and the sister of Alexis Davis. When her mother was killed by Helena Cassadine, Mikkos' wife, her father fostered her with the Carter family to protect her.

As an adult, Kristina hires Angel Sorel Ellis to find her sister, Alexis. Ellis also works for Jasper Jacks, commonly called Jax, who had introduced the pair. In 2001, Jax reveals to Alexis that her sister is alive. As they are about to leave to meet Kristina, Alexis receives a call from Alan Quartermaine inquiring about a missing Chloe Morgan. Jax and Alexis go to Wyndemere and find Chloe dead (killed by Stavros Cassadine). Alexis steps in to act as Stefan's lawyer, who had been arrested for Chloe's murder.

Tired of waiting, Kristina puts on a man's jacket and hat to disguise herself and goes to Luke's. She meets Ned Ashton there and they start to flirt. Ned receives a call from Jax informing him about Chloe and Kristina follows Ned to the Police Department and watches as Alexis breaks down in his arms. Ned leaves to inform the Quartermaines of Chloe's death and Kristina approaches Alexis to introduce herself. Alexis, not knowing who she was and upset about Chloe, interrupts and tells her she does not have time to talk so Kristina leaves.

Kristina goes back to Jax's hotel room and tells him that she had met Alexis. When a weeping Alexis comes to Jax's hotel room, Kristina hides. Alexis tells Jax the meeting between her and Kristina should wait until she is in better shape. Instead, Kristina comes out, introduces herself and they hug. Alexis later tells Kristina the truth about how she was lost to her.

Kristina later changes her name from Carter to Cassadine. She decides to stay in Port Charles and live with Alexis. She works as Ned's assistant at L&B Records and they get engaged. Alexis later becomes pregnant with Sonny Corinthos' child, and Ned steps in as the father in an attempt to keep the baby away from Sonny's dangerous business. Feeling betrayed and believing Ned and Alexis had slept together, Kristina decides to leave town, but instead talks to Alexis to resolve their differences. She later finds a piece of a burned letter informing her that Sonny is the father of Alexis' baby. She sets out to tell Sonny the truth and arranges to meet him at his warehouse. However, she is caught in a bomb explosion at the warehouse set by Luis Alcazar and is injured. In the hospital, Alexis begs her not to say anything, and she agrees.

Kristina dies on August 6, 2002. Alexis names her daughter Kristina in memory of her sister. After baby Kristina is born, dead Kristina appears in a dream to Alexis. Her spirit is taking baby Kristina away with her. Days later, Alcazar is pushed from his balcony and the killer is eventually revealed to be Alexis. Alexis fakes DID, saying her other personality was Kristina, and is able to avoid murder charges.

Nadine Crowell is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. She was portrayed by Claire Coffee from October 5, 2007 to March 3, 2009.

Nadine, who is a nurse, shows up at GH requesting to see her comatose sister Jolene. Spinelli then fills her in on all of Jolene's nefarious activities at GH. Nadine explains why the two decided to become nurses and that their father died on the operating table during a routine surgery.

Nadine and Spinelli go to Nikolas Cassadine's Black & White Ball. Nadine, dressed the same as Lulu, agrees to pretend to be Lulu so that Lulu can go face Johnny Zacchara's deranged father, Anthony, who mistakes Nadine for Lulu and captures her. Anthony threatens to kill her, but Spinelli helps her get away.

After this event, Nadine and Spinelli keep in contact via the phone. Nadine works with Nikolas Cassadine on his brain tumor. She is also the only one who knows that Nikolas sees Emily's ghost, offering him someone to talk to about what he is going through. Nadine was drugged and kidnapped by Diego Alcazar after she saw who he was while at his warehouse but she survived. After learning that someone in Port Charles has been messing with the prescription drugs, Nadine, Nikolas, Lucky Spencer, and Sam McCall begin to investigate who is behind the counterfeit drug ring. Nadine believes that new doctor Matt Hunter is behind the counterfeit drug ring since she's overheard many suspicious phone calls made by Matt. Nikolas thinks otherwise and believes Nadine is going to end up getting hurt.

After many warnings by Nikolas, Nadine storms off and confides in friend Leyla Mir about what's happening between her and Nikolas. Leyla gives her some advice but she misunderstands and storms off to see Nikolas and kisses him. Afterwards, she's embarrassed and tells Nikolas she does not want to hear the "friend" speech out of him. Then, Elizabeth walks in and gives Nikolas advice regarding his love life. Nikolas admits he's attracted to Nadine but if he were to date Nadine he would feel like he was going to somehow ruin Emily's memory but also thanks Elizabeth for helping him clear everything out. As Elizabeth and Nikolas give each other a friendly kiss, Nadine walks in and misinterprets the situation thinking that Nikolas does want to move on from what happened to Emily, just not with her.

When she first meets Nikolas Cassadine he is coming onto the ER. She helps him throghout his tough times and ends up falling for him.. Nikolas finally realizes that she has feelings for him and he has feelings for her as well but is afraid to act on them. Elizabeth talks to Nikolas and says Emily would have wanted him to move on and fall in love again. Prior to this development, Nikolas and Nadine have kissed in total, twice, once per Nadine and the other sparked by Nikolas. Afterwards, Nikolas turned her down, giving Nadine the idea that Nik would never be compatible with anyone else since Emily had died. However on August 21, Nikolas invited Nadine over to the castle and they have a beautiful dinner together, as his way of apologizing for his earlier lapse of manners. They sum up the evening with a clumsy but loving waltz around the grounds. When Nikolas reels in to kiss Nadine, she is paged by the GH operating room when Damien Spinelli was the victim of a near-deadly hit and run accident. He offers her a ride to the hospital, but Nadine frantically rushes off without hearing what Nikolas said, leaving Nikolas with a mounting sense of frustration.

Nikolas seems to be leaning more towards the lovely nurse. Nikolas however has started to fall in love with Nurse Crowell, which is obvious when he becomes worried for her health. In September 2008, when the Emily Quartermaine ward is burned down by Jerry Jacks, leaving Nadine and the intended victim Matt Hunter, he is vigil by her side until she wakes up. Although Nadine swears that she is fine and just suffers from smoke inhalation, he insists that she should come to Wyndemere Castle to recuperate fully. It is there that Nikolas tells Nadine, in not so many words, that he starts to fall in love with her. To finish off the evening, he kisses her. After Kate's shooting, Nikolas takes Nadine back to Wyndermere. They start to kiss but Nik freaks out a bit and leaves. Nadine waits. He comes back and they make love for the first time.

Now knowing that being with Nadine made him feel better, they started spending more time together, and seemed to be heading towards a relationship. However, Nadine's insecure rambling often ruined the mood or ended with her walking out on Nikolas. After this, Nik and Nadine were somewhat of a couple. When Nikolas was caught by the police while chasing after his mother Laura with his brother and sister, he was told he would be deported soon. Nadine offered to marry him and started to make arrangements, until Nik revealed that his lawyers had already done their job and Nik could stay in Port Charles. Then Nadine got the news that her Aunt Rayleen was very ill and she only had a short time to live. Nadine and Nik went to visit Rayleen, and her last wish was for Nadine and Nik to get married. The couple pretended to be, so that Rayleen could die in peace, which she did.

However, things were not over yet. After Rayleen's death, Nadine received an envelope which contained the possessions Rayleen left to her. At first, Nadine was disappointed that the rest of her family was getting millions, and she would get a small envelope. When she opened it, however it turned out she was now the new liaison with the PC Government, who were doing business with weapon dealers. They needed a crucial piece of information from Rayleen, now Nadine, in order to finish their job. Nadine refused to do so, fearing it would lead to a disaster. Eventually, Nik offered to take over her share and once again let his lawyers handle everything. Afterwards, they returned home. Not much later, they were both invited to the fundraiser of Michael Corinthos, organized by Carly Corinthos. Unfortunately, earlier that night, a man was brought into the hospital with complains about a sharp pain in his stomach. While operating on him, it was revealed he had 5 spheres of bio toxin in his body, and one of them burst, causing the entire OR team to go down, and since the toxin was airborne, it spread itself through the ventilating system into the board room of the hospital, where the fundraiser was being held. Nadine was stuck inside the room with other people in order to avoid any more spreadings, while Nik was outside of the room, demanding Jason to get Nadine out of there. Eventually, Nadine was released and seemed to be okay. However, her heart was broken when she heard Nikolas tell Monica he would never love anyone the way he loved Emily. When later Rebecca Shaw showed up, a young woman who is a deadringer of Emily, Nikolas became obsessed with her, and did not look back to Nadine once, who was still in the hospital when it collapsed. After this, Nadine realized Nik had never been in love with her the way she thought he was, and heartbroken, she broke up with him. Nik wished her "the best of luck" and bravely, Nadine did the same. However she later broke down in front of her friend Matt.

Andrea Floyd was a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama General Hospital.

Andrea Floyd debuted on June 17, 2009, in Patrick Drake's office to talk about the malpractice suit against him and his brother Matt Hunter due to the death of Brianna Hughes during surgery. However, Robin Scorpio believes that Brianna was actually murdered, and starts her own investigation. After Andrea hears about Robin's suspicions, she gets the lawsuit dropped so that Robin would not have any excuse to dig any further. Robin still continues digging, and eventually accuses Andrea's husband, Mayor Garrett Floyd, of murdering his mistress Brianna. Andrea is very vocal in both her defense of her husband and verbal attacks against Robin, and orders her husband to keep quiet in order to protect both his job and their reputation.

Alexis Davis as the prosecuting DA soon gets into many heated arguments with Andrea. In order to throw suspicion off of the Floyds, Andrea plants incriminating emails on Alexis' computer, making it seem like the DA was stalking Mayor Floyd because she could not get over a one-night stand that they had had. Andrea succeeds in making Alexis look like a vengeful, scorned woman, and Alexis goes over to the Floyds' mansion one night in a futile attempt to talk privately with Garrett. Instead, she is met by Andrea, they get into another heated argument, and Alexis drives off in a highly emotional state in the same direction where Claudia Zacchara's car accident occurs.

When Garrett is proven innocent, Robin starts to suspect Andrea of being the one who caused Brianna's death, identifying both a possible weapon as well as a plausible scenario where Andrea walks into the hotel suite where Brianna was having a tryst with Garrett. Andrea eventually realizes that Robin suspects her of the murder, and attempts to cover up her tracks by eliminating the one person who remembers seeing her in the hotel at the time of Brianna's accident: Edward Quartermaine.

On September 8, she succeeds in drugging Edward's martini with digitalis, causing him to have a heart attack while he is driving. Edward's car careens uncontrollably through the hospital carnival, coming to rest against a ride after plowing through several people. Andrea was just in the midst of another argument with Alexis when Edward's car hits her, and she dies from her injuries. At the morgue, Robin goes through Andrea's personal effects and finds the empty bottle of digitalis, enabling her to finally put all the pieces together and present her uncle Mac Scorpio, the police commissioner, with all the proof required not just to clear Edward of all charges, but also to prove that Andrea was the one who killed Brianna.

Garrett Prescott "Pres" Floyd is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama General Hospital. He has been portrayed by actor John Bolger since 2006.

Storylines

Garrett Floyd debuted in 2006 as Mayor of Port Charles. Even though he was mayor of the town for 5 years, he is not liked by most people in Port Charles. It was revealed in June 2009 that he has a wife named Andrea Floyd, whom he often cheated on with several different mistresses. On June 10, 2009 Patrick Drake, Robin Scorpio-Drake, and Olivia Falconeri walked into a room at the Metro Court Hotel to find Brianna Hughes, who was lying unconscious on the bed with Garrett. It was revealed that she was his mistress and Garrett told the trio that she bumped her head while they were having sexual relations in the shower. Brianna was taken to General Hospital and days later she died in surgery. Robin, Patrick, Damian Spinelli, Maxie Jones, and Sam McCall then set out to investigate the true cause of her death. Patrick and Robin had their suspicions that Brianna had actually been murdered by Garrett in an attempt to cover up their affair, and Garret quickly became a suspect in her murder. However as the clues piled in and his alibi checked out, Garrett was cleared and a new suspect emerged - Alexis Davis. During the murder investigation, it was revealed that Garrett and Alexis had a secret and adulterous one night stand in the summer of 2006. News of the scandal had an adverse reaction on Alexis' two youngest daughters, Kristina Corinthos-Davis and Molly Lansing-Davis who did not like how their mother was being portrayed in the media. News of their affair also brought the jealous wrath of Garret's wife Andrea down on Alexis' head. Andrea, who was later revealed to be the true murderer, began to frame Alexis for the murder, painting her as a jealous ex-lover who wanted to eliminate the competition. Andrea stalked and taunted Alexis and they got into several confrontations. When Andrea herself became a suspect in the murder, she planted fake evidence in Alexis' home and even poisoned Edward Quartermaine to keep him quiet about the murder. Later that day, in an ironic twist, Edward suffered a heart attack due to the poisoning, which caused him to lose control of his car and run down Andrea down at a carnival. She later died at General Hospital and her role as Brianna's murderer was revealed to all, clearing Alexis of the charges. In the summer of 2011, Garret oversaw the graduation ceremony of students graduating from Madison Preparatory School. When Michael Corinthos got into a fight with another student Bryce who was taunting Michael's younger sister, Kristina, Garrett banned both Michael and Bryce from the graduation ceremony and refused to hand over their diplomas. However after the ceremony, Garrett was strong-armed by Michael's father Sonny Corinthos and he eventually handed over Michael's diploma to Sonny, who awarded his son with his diploma at Michael and Kristina's graduation party. On December 6, 2011, Garrett comes into Jake's with Diane Miller, saying he has resigned from being mayor and is now the owner and editor-in-chief of the local newspaper, the Port Charles Press, formerly the Port Charles Herald. He also says that he is going by his middle name, Prescott, or Pres for short because Garret Floyd is attached to scandals he had as mayor.

Robert "Franco" Frank[3] is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama General Hospital. He has been portrayed by James Franco[4] since November 19, 2009 and was listed as special guest star before the opening credits. Franco left the role for a short time on January 11, 2010.

James Franco returned to General Hospital on June 30, 2010. His character was a part of a summer-long storyline. Franco returned intermittently from September 20, 2011 until January 13, 2012 when he was hunted down and shot to death by Jason Morgan. On April 3, 2012 Sam Morgan discovers through Heather Webber that Franco is Jason's twin brother that Susan Moore unknowingly gave birth to after Jason.

Casting

The casting of James Franco garnered much press coverage for the show. Franco actually sought out a soap opera role, after collaborating on a film project that involved portraying a soap actor.[4] Sharing the same agent as Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), his request led him to General Hospital.[4] Franco commented, "I wanted their full treatment, so all I said was that I wanted to be an artist and I wanted my character to be crazy."[4]

Background

Robert Frank was born off-screen on September 14, 1981 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in New York City to the late Susan Moore and the late Alan Quartermaine. Franco was born a couple minutes after his fraternal twin brother, Jason Morgan, was born. He was "adopted" by Elizabeth (Betsy) Frank after Susan passed out while giving birth to Jason.[5]

Storylines

Prior to officially being seen on the canvas, Franco witnessed Jason Morgan, Max Giambetti and Milo Giambetti disposing of the body of Claudia Zacchara, who had been murdered by Michael Corinthos on November 5, 2009. He then sent photos of a re-enactment of Claudia's murder to Jason.

Franco disguised as a homeless vagrant is spraypainting the word CO77X on a wall, where Joey Limbo and his crew were hired by Anthony Zacchara to murder Sonny Corinthos and Dante Falconeri, Limbo notices Franco and asks him what he's doing, Franco holds out his hand for spare change which Joey throws down coins which fall to the floor.

On November 19, 2009, Franco, still dressed as a vagrant, witnessed Jason, Max, Milo and Dante Falconeri engage in a shootout with Joey Limbo and his men. Realizing Joey was still alive, Franco approached him and stepped on his neck until Limbo died and repositioned his body in an odd figure.

Following the incident, Franco attended the opening for his art exhibit, filled with numerous crime scene re-enactments, which had been organized by Maxie Jones and Kate Howard for Crimson. Maxie was placed in charge of insuring all Franco's needs were met, which took a disturbing turn when later on when the two were alone. Franco blindfolded her, took photographs of her in a chalk outline and then slept with her.

During the week of December 7, Franco finally came face to face with Jason Morgan, offering him beer and pretzels, unnerving Jason with how much he idolizes his work, calling it "art", telling Jason they are the same. Franco is less than thrilled with Jason's lack of respect for Franco or his work. Jason leaves after Franco tells him he saw Michael kill Claudia. After Jason left, Franco decided to send Jason another message to let him know he's serious. On December 14, that message came from Damian Spinelli who had gone over to Franco's to confront him about sleeping with Spinelli's girlfriend Maxie Jones. Franco told Spinelli to tell "Stone Cold" he's not through with him yet.

On December 15, Maxie Jones and Lulu Spencer break into Franco's apartment to look for other compromising photos of Maxie, and run into Franco's agent Gillian Carlyle, who informs the two young ladies that Franco is back in Paris. On December 18, Franco was in an alley when he was approached by Dante's cop partner Ronnie. It is then revealed the two have been working together for quite a long time. After Ronnie left, he is then run over by a dark car driven by Franco. Lulu Spencer rushes him to the hospital. Lulu encounters Franco in Ronnie's room after Franco told Ronnie to give Jason a message "you choose". He then exits. Soon after Jason and Dante arrive, Ronnie, hooked up on a ventilator, gives Jason the message. We see the CO77X spray painted in Ronnie's hospital room. In the week of December 28, Franco kidnaps Jason's girlfriend Sam McCall and his best friend Carly Jacks. Franco waits for Jason to come and try to rescue them. Jason manages to save Carly, but Franco gives him the slip.

On January 6, 2010 it is believed, Franco went to Crimson to get Maxie for a choose-one-not-both game with Jason, but she is not there, so he kidnaps Lulu. Both women are above bombs. Jason and Dante team up to save them, both going after their respective lovers. Sam's bomb is revealed to be a fake. However, Lulu's is indeed real. Dante reaches Lulu just in time to get her away from the bomb. Jason begins to fear he is indeed like Franco, though Sam assures him otherwise. Franco soon leaves town after leaving Jason a video message, explaining his past and motivations and revealing he plans to kill someone for every person Jason kills.

On June 11, when Jason kills Carter, he tells him "Franco says Hi".

On July 1, Franco is seen as a homeless person who is holding up a "Will entertain for money" sign. Diane comes across him and says she left her purse at home, when Franco asks her to for some change. So instead, he pulls out a little toy monkey, and says "I hope to get a real one, one day", as Diane hands him $20.00 she had in her briefcase - and a stick of gum. After she leaves, Franco gets up and spray paints his symbol on a crate. When Jason goes home, Franco follows him to Harbor View Towers.

On July 2, While Maxie is -alone- talking to someone on the phone at Crimson, the elevator opens. She thinks it's James coming to give her the shoes, but it is Franco, dressed in black, with six red roses in his hand. When Dante and Jason visit Karen Anderson (Franco's mother) and tell her it's about her son, she replies "I don't have a son". It is revealed Franco's real name is Robert Frank.

On July 16, 2010, Franco once again appears at Crimson, but this time looking for Lulu. Lulu tries to call for help but Franco threatens to kill her and pose her body for Dante to find. Franco then gives Lulu an envelope and tells her to give it to Dante. Lulu tries to follow Franco after he leaves but loses him. The envelope is later revealed to be a clue to lead Jason and Dante to Franco's exhibit.

Jason and Dante later head to Los Angeles, where Franco is preparing a large exhibit at the MoCA based on his exploits in Port Charles.[4] While searching for Franco, the pair discover a DVD revealing Franco had paid Carter to attack Michael in order to play mind games with Jason. Carter took it upon himself to not only attack, but to rape Michael. In an ensuing battle with Jason, although the large crowd of witnesses brush it off as nothing more than live entertainment, Franco fakes his death.

Franco took Aiden from the hospital prior to that to give to his mother to raise as the son she always wanted. Lucky Spencer later reclaims the child without incident or reprisal from Franco.

Franco is last mentioned when his agent attempts to ask international model Brenda Barrett to pose for a few pictures. Knowing of Franco's history as a serial killer, Brenda turns down the offer, refusing to glorify violence for money.

On February 25, 2011, Franco is shown in a tux with self images behind him, calling Jason shortly after the limo explosion at Sonny and Brenda's wedding. Franco takes credit for the bomb, so it is presumed he is in league with the Balkan.[6] He later calls Jason again while he is at the hospital with Sam, taunting him further while claiming he will have a "present" for Jason when they meet again. Jason, however, swears he will kill Franco on sight.

On March 25, Carly receives a video message from Franco, who is somehow aware of what happened to Josslyn. Franco says he feels "somewhat responsible" for what has happened and will keep a very close eye on Josslyn.

On September 20, Franco was seen taking photos of the thug that died. He looks out the window and says to his toy monkey that Jason and Sam forget his wedding invite. He is later seen in disguise setting up security cameras around the church before the wedding and steals Sam's wedding dress, putting another in its place. During the wedding reception, Franco watches everything filmed by the security cameras in his apartment and dances with Sam's wedding dress.

On October 3, Jason and Sam arrive in Hawaii for their honeymoon. Franco sneaks into Jason and Sam's cabin while they're on a walk and sets up a few security cameras. Back in Port Charles, Carly finds a package on her doorstep addressed to Josslyn from Hawaii. Carly opens it, thinking it's from Jason, to find a lei and a note. The note ends with "Aloha, Franco." Carly, Shawn and Josslyn fly to Hawaii to warn Jason and Sam about Franco. Jason gets a call saying Franco is in Toronto setting up a new art exhibit, having checked into a hotel room under the alias "C. Firth." Carly, Josslyn and Shawn return to Port Charles relieved. However, Jason and Sam leave the cabin and Franco crawls out from under their bed to set up another security camera.

On November 4, Jason comes back to the cabin and sees a bottle of beer and note addressed to him. Thinking they're from Sam, he reads the note: "A toast for the grand finale. You'll never guess what happens next," [7] and drinks the beer. When Sam arrives a while later, Jason is gone and she also finds a beer bottle and a note addressed to her. Her note reads: "I'm way ahead of you," [7] and she drinks her beer. Jason's beer was drugged and he wakes up in a locked, windowless room with a TV screen. The TV turns on to show live footage of Sam in the cabin takng a shower. Franco slowly walks into the bathroom while Jason watches the screen in horror. Sam passes out because her beer was drugged too. Franco catches Sam when she falls, carries her into the bedroom and starts to undress. He walks up to the security camera in the room and taunts Jason about wanting some privacy. He then covers the security camera with his shirt, leaving Jason in the dark as to what's happening. Jason manages to escape and goes back to the cabin. Sam is fine and faintly remembers being in bed with someone. Jason sadly tells her Franco was in bed with her, leading them to believe Franco raped her. Jason and Sam return to Port Charles shaken up by what Franco did to Sam.

On November 30, Carly and Shawn find two wrapped up gifts for Josslyn from Franco. One is a wind-up baby toy, the other is a video. In the video, Franco tells Josslyn he's sorry Jax isn't there to watch over her, and promises he will always be there for her when no one else will. Later on, Sam sees Franco's signature NO2CCAH5 recently spraypainted on the wall in the alley by Jake's Bar. Spinelli examines it and believes some of the letters are elements from the periodic table, like Nitrogen and Oxygen. Spinelli says the last symbol of the signature is an ancient symbol meaning 'creation' or 'the bond to the creator.' Spinelli thinks it could mean something Franco created during Jason and Sam's honeymoon.

On December 6, Jason sees Franco has added a white zero to his signature. He realizes the circle means there is no beginning and no end with Franco's game. Franco wants it to go right back where it started: the shoot-out on Front Street. Sam and Michael go there and find a DVD Franco put in a trash can. Sam and Jason watch it. In the video, Franco taunts Jason and says they're going to be a father, leading to the possibility Franco impregnated Sam.

On January 3, 2012 Sam buys a pregnancy test because she realizes she's late with her period. Jason enlists in Spinelli's help to find Franco. Sam takes the pregnancy test. The results are positive. There is a chance she is carrying Franco's baby.

On January 12, Spinelli reveals to Jason that Franco has been hiding in plain sight in his studio. Jason goes to the studio and is greeted by Franco, who reveals his finale will be worse for Jason. Jason pulls out his gun and shoots Franco. As Franco dies, he says Jason will never know. More than likely, he is referring to Hawaii and whether or not he raped Sam. Franco's studio also catches on fire.

In the news report Spinelli uncovered it stated the fire may have been accidental, because of the careless disposal of highly flammible turpentine.

Not long after Franco's death, Sam found another DVD from Franco which showed a home video of a baby boy.

Heather Webber returned in 2012 to reveal her cousin, Susan Moore, was Franco's biological mother, making him Jason Quartermaine's fraternal twin brother. Susan never knew about the baby because Heather sold Franco to Betsy, who was Susan's nurse. Sam believes Franco first went after Jason just to find his brother and turned to revenge because Jason wanted nothing to do with him.

Also before dating Diane, he had a long time crush on Sonny's ex-wife Carly Corinthos, who he referred to as simply Mrs. C, but now he calls her The Former Mrs. C or Mrs. J. Logan Houston Hayes[9] is a fictional character on the popular ABC soap opera, General Hospital. He was portrayed by Josh Duhon from March 7, 2007 to September 2, 2008.

Through some investigation, Lulu Spencer discovered that Scott had fathered a son in Texas around the same time that Logan was born. Logan later admitted he had known Scott was his father since he was 10 or 12 because he discovered some letters Scott had written to his mother. He also said that Scott had ruined his family with a bad business deal years before. Because of this when Logan met Scott he took an automatic dislike to him and they fought constantly whenever they saw each other. Scott denied for a while that he was Logan's father until September when they agreed to take a DNA test. On October 3, 2007 it was revealed that Scott was, indeed, Logan's father. Since then, Logan and Scott have started to develop a slightly better relationship.

In the very beginning of 2008, Scott and Logan's relationship seemed to be on good terms when Logan asked Scott for help in getting a job. However, all too soon the relationship became sense again when the file containing the DNA results for Georgie Jones' murder was stolen right off the police commissioner's desk. Logan had been there that day so Scott asked him if he took the file to use as blackmail to keep Johnny Zacchara away from Lulu, since he was one of the people suspected for her murder. Logan denied taking it and was angry that Scott would accuse him of doing such a thing. He stormed off telling Scott not to bother him again and was glad that he had stayed out of his life as a child. He has been lately pursuing Alexis Davis to hand over her job as District Attorney to him.

When Logan was killed July 8, 2008 in self-defense by Lulu Spencer, after Lulu saw Logan bet up Maxie. Scott was devastated and is now out for blood. Scott was the prosecutor in Johnny Zacchara's trial despite being the murder victim's father. He used several dirty tricks to get Johnny the death penalty including fraud by forging papers stating his son was working undercover for the police and calling an unstable Lulu to the stand. When Johnny was acquitted of his son's murder Scott went ballistic at the jury and has taken his failure hard ever since and has harassed Johnny several times.

Dr. Matthew Randall "Matt" Hunter, MD[11] is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. The role was portrayed by Jason Cook from June 26, 2008 to June 11, 2012.[12]

Storylines

Matt arrived in Port Charles as a resident doctor at General Hospital under a fellowship sponsored by Nikolas Cassadine. He was initially suspected by nurse Nadine Crowell of being involved in a counterfeit drug ring, but later teams up with her to uncover the real criminals. During the course of the investigation, he is trapped in a fire and is hospitalized, where he is visited by Noah Drake. Their conversation is overheard by Patrick Drake, Noah's son, who is shocked to discover that Noah is Matt's father as well. Patrick works on developing a relationship with him, and convinces Matt to be his best man at his wedding to Robin Scorpio.[12] With Robin's help the brothers succeed in bonding, even though they remain very competitive especially in the operating room. This has led Matt into some predicaments: he was poisoned as a result of operating on a man that no one knew was transporting poison capsules in his stomach; and he was sued for malpractice after the mayor's mistress died during "routine surgery". Patrick and Robin were able to prove his innocence in the latter case by proving the death was actually a homicide, and with the help of Andrea Floyd, the mayor's wife, the malpractice suit was dropped.[12] Despite his numerous flirtations with many women around Port Charles, he remained single for two years. In 2010, Maxie Jones, who then was still involved with Spinelli, came up with an absurd plan to make Spinelli feel more confident about himself and their relationship. She decided to pretend to be interested in Matt, so he would fall in love with her and then she could reject him, showing Spinelli he doesn't have anything to worry about. Matt, however, had been interested in Maxie for quite some time, and saw this as a chance to impress her. After the first few dates, and a first kiss, Maxie found herself being drawn to Matt, unable to stop thinking about him, and she eventually broke up with Spinelli. Matt and Maxie's relationship was cut short for a little while after Matt discovered that Maxie used him to make Spinelli jealous, but after Maxie's father Mac was shot and Matt saved his life, the two reunited, beginning a real relationship. Maxie soon found out she could feel more herself in her relationship with Matt, confessing to Robin that Matt might be the perfect guy for her.

A year later, they began to experience trouble. Matt was working hard on getting a research of his published in an important magazine, and Maxie paid little attention to this, feeling it was more important to focus on her own career. This led to Matt building a friendship with Maxie's enemy, Elizabeth Webber. Maxie became extremely jealous and even got Elizabeth suspended from her job, after accusing her of stealing medication. During this, Matt was also a suspect in the murder of Lisa Niles, and frustrated with both that and Maxie's behavior, Matt broke up with her. He started to feel more drawn to Elizabeth and kissed her on a party thrown in his honor for getting his research published. Elizabeth however, felt nothing but friendship and was instead drawn to a co-worker named Ewen. Matt and Elizabeth decided not long after that, that it was better to remain friends. Tragedy struck when Robin was killed in a lab explosion after a gasleak, leaving Patrick a widower and a single father. Matt supported his brother as much as he could, helping arrange the funeral as well as taking care of Emma. This tragedy also brought him closer again to Maxie, who confessed to him that she most likely caused the gasleak, feeling responsible for Robin's death. Unable to cope with her guilt, Maxie then confessed to the murder of Lisa Niles instead, feeling it was justice to be locked for good. Matt has since been trying to talk her out of it, even teaming up with Spinelli to prove Maxie did not kill Lisa. After visiting Maxie in jail, Matt told her that he didn't like his life without her, and he declared his love for her. Just hours before that, however, Spinelli discovered that Matt might have murdered Lisa. Maxie is released when Spinelli tells the police that Matt murdered Lisa, and she is forced to testify against him. In order to avoid this, Matt and Maxie get married on May 29, 2012, and the both of them are released from all charges. Matt later has a talk with Patrick about the marriage, and Matt tells Patrick he's happy with Maxie, and that he loves her.

Shortly after his marriage to Maxie, Matt is able to recall his memories of murdering Lisa, and unable to live with the guilt, turns himself in. Under a plea bargain deal, Matt is sentenced to five years in Pentonville. At The Floating Rib, Matt says his goodbyes to Mac, Felicia, and an emotional Maxie, who he intends to annul his marriage to, before heading off to begin serving his sentence.

Stoylines

Non-nonsense nurse Epiphany Johnson is a force to be reckoned with. A full-figured woman who speaks her mind and doesn't mince words, Epiphany is quite intimidating. She is a dedicated nurse who doesn't tolerate anyone giving less than 110%. She will call out doctors and nurses alike, when she feels that they are being less than professional. She has a strong moral compass that was never tested more than when her only son, Stanford, decided to go to work for mob boss, Sonny Corinthos.[13]

Epiphany strongly disapproved of her son squandering his education on spying for the mob. Despite her objections to Stan's career choices, Epiphany loved her son fiercely and never stopped trying to convince him to make different choices. Sadly, Epiphany would see her greatest fear realized when, during a phone call with Stan, she heard him killed in a mob-ordered hit. The pain of losing her son in such a violent manner took its toll on Epiphany.[13]

In February 2008, Epiphany suffered a serious heart attack and collapsed in the hospital locker room. She had just received her son's cremated ashes and was clutching them in her hands when they found her. Luckily, the doctors were able to save her life.[13]

Trevor Lansing is a fictional character from the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. The role is originated by veteran actor, Stephen Macht in August 2007 on a recurring basis. Macht departs from the role in February 2009.[15]

Characterization

Macht describes his character as more than an attorney, but a "power manager". "He doesn't take anything too seriously, except power" Macht states during an interview with Soap Opera Digest.[16] Trevor's dynamic with his love affair, Kate Howard (Megan Ward) displays quite an unusual dynamic. Macht reveals that though his character would love to get back together with her, he mistreats her because of her involvement with his "step-son", Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his pride is hurt; he's has lost yet another woman to Sonny.[16] Trevor's hate for Sonny stems from Adela's decision to choose Sonny over him and their son, Ric (Rick Hearst). When Adela passes away, it destroys Trevor's faith in love and drives a wedge between him and Ric.[16]

Backstory

The character of Trevor Lansing is first mentioned in 2003 by his son, Ric who has come to Port Charles to ruin the life of his maternal half-brother, Sonny Corinthos. Ric reveals that after Sonny's father, Mike walked out on Sonny and his wife, Adela, Adela began an affair with the married Trevor who at the time was her boss. He sends Adela and Sonny to live at his vacation home in Martha's Vineyard. A pregnant Adela takes a fall down the stairs and Trevor blames Sonny. He forces Adela to choose between her two sons, and Adela leaves with Sonny shortly after giving birth to Ric. However, Trevor told Ric that Adela abandoned them because of Sonny.[15]

Storylines

On August 22, 2007 Trevor arrived in Port Charles. He is an attorney and the former lover of fashion mogul Kate Howard. After Kate told Trevor about her pending legal woes, Trevor revealed that Ric, the prosecutor pursuing the case against Kate, is his son and promised Kate that he will get Ric off her back. He called his son "a disappointment".[15] Sonny, who is now Kate's lover, sees Trevor as a major threat in light of Trevor's connections to Ric and Kate as well as with Anthony Zacchara, who is ostensibly the most powerful mob boss in Manhattan. Indeed, on October 22, 2007 it came out that Anthony Zacchara has been insane for years and that it is Trevor who has secretly been the actual head of the organization. Trevor put a hit on Sonny but it failed. He is still very much in love with Kate Howard and hates her being with Sonny.[15]

Trevor now works for crazy man Anthony Zacchara and is keeping a wary watch over his children Johnny Zacchara and Claudia Zacchara. Johnny and Claudia hate Trevor and blame him for a lot of their pain and anger towards their father. Trevor has always had a pained relationship with his son, Ric. On March 22, 2008, Ric confronted his father about all the pain that he had caused him in the past years when Trevor came for the deeds to the waterfront. Trevor just ignored Ric's pain and asked for the waterfront deeds again. Ric gave them to him, walked over to the fireplace and broke down. Trevor silently exited with Ric watching him leave. It was revealed on July 7, 2008 that he raped, seduced, slept with Claudia Zacchara when she was a teenager. When Anthony walked in, he then shipped Claudia away for sleeping with him. Trevor and Sonny were injured in the explosion of February 9, 2009. Sonny was going to shoot Trevor after he threatens to drop the biotoxin which will cause everyone in Port Charles to get sick. In a confrontation with Sam McCall on the roof, Trevor tossed the toxin and Sam tried to catch it. Trevor's attempt to stop her resulted in him falling off the roof, resulting in his death, as confirmed by the FBI.[15]

Daniel "Danny" McCall is a fictional character on the popular ABC soap opera, General Hospital. He was portrayed by Henri Lubatti in 2004 and David Greenman from 2005 to 2006.

When Danny was born, it was discovered that he carried the Fragile X gene, which caused him to be born with a mental handicap. A few years after his birth, his parents Cody McCall and Evelyn Bass decided that they wanted another child, but they did not want to risk having another child naturally. They feared that if they had another child naturally, that child could also inherit the gene and develop a mental handicap. Cody and Evelyn could not afford to provide for two children, with a mental handicap, so they decided to adopt instead of having another child naturally. After making the decision to adopt, they soon brought home a newborn baby girl that they named Samantha McCall. When Sam was only three years old, Evelyn decided that she did not want Sam anymore and she no longer wanted to deal with Cody’s drifter ways. So Evelyn left Sam with Cody and took Danny with her when she moved to Bailey’s Beach, Rhode Island. Evelyn was very distant and emotionally abusive towards Danny because of his mental handicap. No longer wanting to deal with him, she kept Danny locked up in the basement, while she went on with her daily life.

When Sam grew up and was a teen, Cody told her all about Evelyn and Danny. Wanting to confront her mother for abandoning her, Sam set out to find her and ended up in Bailey’s Beach. When Sam went into her mother’s house and began to look around, she was horrified to find her brother Danny chained up in the basement. She quickly unchained him and helped him escape, promising him that she would care for him and give him a better life. As they were sneaking out of the house Danny accidentally knocked over a candle that set the house ablaze with fire. Sam and Danny had no idea that their mother was inside the house when it burnt down and she was killed. After leaving Bailey’s Beach, Danny and Sam went on with their lives and Sam did the best that she could to care for herself and Danny and give her brother a good life. Years later, the night of the fire came back to haunt them, when Sam was charged with setting the fire that killed their mother, when in actuality it was Danny who had knocked over the candle and started the fire. Wanting to protect her brother, Sam confessed and took the blame for starting the fire that killed their mother. After a few months of being on the run and hiding, Sam's close friend and future lover, mobster Jason Morgan was able to get the charges against Sam dropped, by paying an inmate on death row to confess to starting the fire. Both Sam and Danny were now in the clear and able to move on with their lives. Jason also graciously arranged for Danny to attend a specialized school in Hawaii. However, Danny misunderstood his sister’s intentions and believing that she was trying to send him away he harbored resentment towards her and refused contact with Sam.

In October 2005, Jason and Sam moved to Hawaii to start their new life together. While there Sam and Danny reconciled and Sam was able to explain to Danny that she was not trying to send him away, but only wanted to provide a better life for him. Danny understood and forgave his little sister. Sam and Danny enjoyed their time together in Hawaii until Jason and Sam had to move back to Port Charles, because of a mob threat in the form of the sinister Ruiz family. In February 2006, Danny returned to Port Charles just in time for an encephalitis epidemic. Sam quickly fell ill, and after caring for her in the hospital, so did Danny. An antidote was found, but there was only enough to be given to one person and the two candidates were Alexis Davis and Danny. Alexis was given the dose and Sam grieved for the loss of her brother. The dying Danny told Sam how glad he was that their parents "chose her," to be his little sister, leading Sam to the discovery that she and Danny were not biological siblings and she was adopted into the McCall family. Sam and Danny shared a sad and tearful goodbye, and as Danny was dying he told Sam that he could hear the angels and could see his niece, Sam’s late daughter Lila McCall coming to greet him. After Danny died, Sam held his favorite red baseball cap near and dear to her heart. Danny made one last appearance in the form of a vision in May 2006 after Sam was shot and almost died. In the vision Sam had to choose between dying and going with Danny or fighting to live and embracing her new family, which included her two new little sisters Kristina Corinthos-Davis and Molly Lansing-Davis and a woman she hated, Alexis Davis, who was revealed to be Sam’s biological mother. Ultimately Sam chose to fight to live, and recovered from her comatose state.

Diane Miller is a fictional character on General Hospital. She has been portrayed by Carolyn Hennesy since the character's debut on December 13, 2006.[17]

Hennesy also has a recurring role on the former ABC sitcom, Cougar Town as Barb.

Storylines

In December 2006, mobster Sonny Corinthos hired Diane Miller to represent him based on her reputation as a brilliant attorney with a dry wit, acerbic observations, blunt manner, and nearly perfect courtroom record. Her top-notch trial skills worked and, with Diane's help, Sonny once again escaped the long arm of the law. As Sonny was on trial for the death of Lorenzo Alcazar, Diane advised Sonny to remarry his ex-wife Carly Jacks so that she wouldn't have to testify against him. When a woman with information that exonerated Sonny stepped forward, Diane informed Sonny he could annul his marriage to Carly, but he convinced Diane not to tell Carly.[17]

Diane next defended Sonny's top enforcer, Jason Morgan, who was implicated in the murder. Sam, who was working against Jason at the time, and Carly hated each other. Diane happened to walk into Jason's penthouse as Sam and Carly got into a fistfight. After forcefully getting their attention, Diane informed the women that police were on their way with a search warrant to look for evidence to tie Jason to the crime. Diane kept the cops from finding anything incriminating.[17]

Elizabeth was added to the list of witnesses for the prosecution, and Jason worried that it might be revealed that he was the father of her youngest son Jake. Opposing council Ric Lansing also knew the truth and had a videotape showing Jason with a gun and audio of Alcazar uttering the name "Morgan" before a gunshot and a thud. Evidence surfaced that cast doubt as to whether Alcazar was actually dead. Diane cross-examined the county coroner and got him to admit that he had never performed an autopsy on the man presumed to be Alcazar. The new information was enough to sway the jury who acquitted Jason.[17]

Kate Howard, editor in chief of Crimson, had a mishap with a police cruiser, having sideswiped it. Diane worked a plea bargain with the prosecutor, who had a thing for high fashion. She bribed the prosecutor with couture apparel, and Kate was given community service at the hospital. Diane's love of fashion and the finer things in life, especially shoes, was enhanced by her friendship with Kate. Her occasional legal work for Kate has been rewarded with sneak peeks at the latest fashion trends and some delectable apparel. Diane next represented Elizabeth, who was divorcing her husband, Lucky Spencer. Lucky hired Diane's rival, Alexis Davis. As the two attorneys worked together on a settlement, they began to become friends. During the proceedings, Lucky and Elizabeth agreed to share custody of Jake and Cameron.[17]

In January 2008, both Diane and Alexis Davis were nominated for Litigator of the Year. On their way to the ceremony, they were kicked off of a plane for bickering and arguing with the flight attendant, rented a car, got stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire, and got into trouble at a dive bar. On the way home from Philadelphia, after having missed the ceremony, their rental car broke down—again. They broke into another dive bar for shelter. Because it was freezing and the thermostat was out of order, they had to put on their cherished designer gowns and a couple of found coats over their clothes to keep warm. During the night, Diane said she felt she didn't deserve the award and, if she were to win, she would give it to Alexis. She explained that she'd once represented a man accused of rape. The man had been accused of raping and murdering a teenage girl because she was black. He was actually guilty, and Diane knew she could have gotten him off but hadn't been able to bring herself to have a racist murderer released. However, he had been stabbed in prison, and Diane had felt that she was partially responsible for his death. Despite her guilt, she knew that she'd done the right thing. Alexis refused to accept the award, admitting that she had killed Lorenzo Alcazar's brother, Luis, because he had been responsible for the death of her sister.[17]

That April, Jason retained Diane to represent his mother, Monica Quartermaine, after she was arrested for drunk driving and hit-and-run, which occurred the same night that Alexis's daughter, Sam, had been hit by a car. At the trial, Sam stated that she wanted to drop the charges, but the judge refused. Alexis and her nephew, Nikolas Cassadine, argued that Monica should not be sentenced because she was a valuable asset to the community. Monica was sent to rehab and given six months of community service. After Sonny's second born son, Michael, was shot in an attempt on Sonny's life, Diane and Alexis had drinks at Jake's. Alexis worried about her daughters, as she knew Sonny's life endangered their safety too. Diane, having had a bit too much to drink, retreated to Sonny's house and encountered a drunken Max. He was devastated that Michael was in a coma and felt guilty that he hadn't been at the warehouse to protect Michael and Sonny. To comfort Max, Diane kissed him.[17]

Later, Alexis walked in, shocked to find Diane and Max in the throes of passion on the couch. Sonny was furious after he found out about their relationship and ordered them to end it, even going so far as to threaten to end Max's job. After Diane failed to keep Anthony Zacchara in prison, Sonny vowed to send Max to Puerto Rico because his relationship with Diane was throwing her off her game. Max stood up to Sonny and forcefully told him to back off, which Sonny seemed to respect. Diane tried to help Alexis devise a legal means to force Sonny to give up custody of Kristina Davis, Sonny's and Alexis's daughter. To keep the Corinthos Empire safe from the Zaccharas, Sonny and Jason cooked up a plan to have Jason take the helm of the business, effectively allowing Sonny to retire. Once running the "Morgan Organization," Jason made it clear to Diane and Max that he had no problem with their relationship as long as it did not interfere with business.[17]

During a break from counseling Damian Spinelli on how to woo Maxie, Diane presided over the agreement between Sonny and Carly that, to protect their boys, gave full custody of Michael and Morgan to Carly. As Max showed Diane the engagement ring Sonny had bought Kate, Diane mistakenly believed that Max had asked for her hand in marriage. Caught off-guard, she agreed. She quickly called Alexis and admitted she wasn't ready to marry—anyone. Max confided in Sonny that he'd jumped the gun and wanted to back out. Unbeknownst to either pair, Alexis had pushed Diane to give the ring back as Sonny advised Max to ask for it back. Once face-to-face, Diane and Max blurted at the same time that they were not ready for marriage.[17]

In July, Diane agreed to help Patrick Drake sue Robin Scorpio, represented by Alexis, for visitation/custody rights of their then-unborn child. However, without any effort by either attorney, Patrick and Robin agreed during the hearing to share custody. After Logan Hayes was found dead, Jason was arrested for murder. Diane agreed to represent him. She wanted to point the authorities toward Lulu Spencer, but Jason refused to implicate Lulu. Sonny wanted to regain control over his organization, but Jason refused, pointing to Sonny's increasingly erratic behavior. However, neither Jason nor Sonny would allow Diane to drop them as clients, so she kept representing both of them, despite the clear conflict of interest. Upon discovering that Sonny, though engaged to Kate, had engaged in a one-night stand with his ex-wife, Carly, Diane pushed Sonny to be honest with Kate. When the truth was revealed, Kate forgave Sonny, but Carly and her husband, Jasper Jacks, broke up. Max told Diane that it was her fault that Carly and Jax's marriage was on the rocks. Max agreed that it wasn't really cheating, since Sonny and Kate had not yet been married.[17]

Diane asked, based on Max's definition of faithfulness, if he'd ever cheated on her. He answered indirectly, asking how he could have cheated, as they'd only had a casual relationship. Diane angrily broke up with him. Later, she broke down in Jason's arms. The following day, Max showed up with a boom box blasting Al Green's song "Let's Stay Together." During Sonny and Kate's fall wedding ceremony, Anthony attempted to kill Sonny but hit Kate instead. Anthony framed rival gangster Andre Karpov. Diane tried to keep Sonny's involvement with Karpov secret, but the truth was discovered. To protect Kate, Sonny broke off his engagement. When Diane found out that Max's father, Maximus Giambetti, was headed to town, she also learned that Milo, Max's brother who their father called "Mario," was Max's half-brother. Their father had been deported to Sicily because of his mob activity. Diane, Milo, and Jason agreed to help Max pretend to be the head of the organization. As Max, Milo, and Diane showed Maximus the office, Jason arrived, dressed casually. Diane introduced him as Max's bodyguard. Over the next few days, others were inadvertently drawn into the ruse, including Carly and Claudia Zacchara, who both pretended to be amorously linked to Max—which infuriated Diane.[17]

After Karpov was found dead, Jason was the top suspect. To help Jason, Spinelli hacked into the Department of Defense, Witness Protection, and Interpol databases. FBI agent, Thomas Rayner discovered what Spinelli had done and arrested him for treason. But Rayner was using Spinelli as a bargaining chip to get the goods on Jason or Sonny. Diane did what she could to keep Spinelli, Jason, and Sonny from being tried. Diane agreed to represent Carly in her divorce proceedings. Naturally, Alexis represented Jax. Neither Diane nor Alexis wanted the couple to split and hatched a plan to emphasize to each of their respective clients the downside and pitfalls of divorce. The couple eventually decided to reconcile. After the mysterious death of Brianna Hughes in the hotel room of Mayor Floyd, the Hughes family hired Diane to represent them in a wrongful death lawsuit against Patrick. Alexis begged Diane not to take the case but would not explain why it was so important to her. Alexis finally admitted to her friend that she and the mayor had once had an affair. As if things couldn't get worse, Alexis was arrested and charged with hit-and-run after someone ran Claudia off the road. Though Alexis didn't believe she had caused the accident, she suspected that Kristina might have. Diane represented her friend, but it was Nikolas who worked his political connections to get Alexis sentenced to community service.[17]

After Sonny discovered that Claudia was responsible for Michael having been shot and put into a coma for a year, he verbally attacked her at her birthday party. Many people witnessed his tirade. Claudia, feeling her back was against a wall, kidnapped a very pregnant Carly, stole a car, and drove away. Carly was able to get away from her captor as she went into labor and gave birth to baby Josslyn in a cabin with Claudia's help. As Carly was begging for Claudia to give her baby back, Michael entered the room and saw Claudia with his baby sister in a basket. He reacted by grabbing an ax handle and striking Claudia, killing her. Jason, Sam, Carly, and Sonny helped cover up Michael's involvement. After Sonny shot his eldest son who was undercover as Dominic, not knowing his name was really Dante Falconeri and that Dante was his son with Kate's cousin Olivia, Diane got Sonny out on bail. The catch was, the bail was so high that he would lose everything he owned if he were to skip bail and go on the run. Despite that, Diane and Carly urged Sonny to leave town and be a free man. But Sonny refused, wanting to build a relationship with Dante. He also worried that the spotlight of Claudia's trial might turn toward Michael. In fact, Sonny decided to confess to Claudia's murder.[17]

Diane's defense of Sonny against murder charges in Claudia's death allowed her to finally team up in the courtroom with her dear friend Alexis. The partnership took a little prodding on Diane's part, but Alexis finally saw it Diane's way and joined the defense team on Diane's terms, as a partner in Diane's firm. Once again, Diane's power of persuasion ruled the day. After court one day, Alexis walked into her living room to find Kristina, who had been dating physically abusive Kiefer Bauer, beaten and unconscious—just as Kiefer ran out of the house. She carried her daughter to the car and drove her to the hospital. As Kiefer emerged in the road, a stunned Alexis hit him and kept driving. Kiefer later died from his injuries. Diane informed Alexis that, because it was her second hit-and-run and the victim died, she would likely serve time. Diane advised Alexis to either confess immediately or not at all. Diane was successful in keeping Alexis from serving time, but Kiefer's father launched a civil suit. During the contentious trial, both the Diane/Alexis team and prosecutor Claire Walsh engaged in ethically questionable tactics. Diane encouraged Maxie to perjure herself and knowingly accepted Carly's bogus testimony. The adults in Michael's life arranged for him to leave the country until the trial ended. Claire assumed that Michael's testimony would incriminate Sonny. Claire did everything she could to find Michael, including taking Morgan out of school on false pretenses to question him about Michael's whereabouts.[17]

Judge Carrol became very impatient with their courtroom antics. As the jury deliberated, Dante connected with Michael, who had returned to Port Charles. Michael gave Dante the proof that Michael had been the one to kill Claudia—the bloody shirt that he'd worn that night. Dante, knowing that Michael had simply defended his mother, went to court and announced that Sonny hadn't done the deed. Dante assumed that Michael would be ordered to attend counseling and given community service. However, Judge Carroll, angry that the trial had been a farce and feeling that Michael would be better off in prison than surrounded by the violence that had dominated his childhood, sentenced Michael to five years in Pentonville with the possibility of parole after two. Diane filed an appeal, and Claire agreed to help right the injustice. Diane helped Claire convict Jason, with the condition that Jason be sentenced to Pentonville and share a cell with Michael to protect him from the guards and other prisoners. Dante convinced Judge Carroll to reverse his decision. The judge insisted that Michael live with Dante and that he have minimal contact with Sonny. Diane began working on a way to get Jason freed but was doubtful it would work. Diane was forced to break the bad news to Jason that he wasn't getting out of prison anytime soon. However, Claire agreed to let Jason out of Pentonville in order to act as bait for psycho artist Franco and later got him out permanently on a technicality.[17]

To distract himself from Brenda Barrett, Sonny focused his attention on Claire. Diane called him out about using Claire to compromise the prosecution. Diane was always suspicious of Claire's agenda and berated Sonny for trusting her. After seeing Sonny and Brenda kiss, Diane confided in Alexis that the wrath of a scorned Claire would not be pretty. As Diane predicted, Brenda and Sonny renewed their relationship. To Diane's surprise, Claire elected to stay in Port Charles and told Diane and Alexis that she wanted to join their firm. Diane cautioned Claire to think carefully about what it would be like to live in the same town as Sonny and see him with another woman. Brenda and Dante were being sued in a wrongful death suit over the killing of a henchman of an international criminal known as the Balkan. Brenda had shot the henchman in self-defense. Theo Hoffman was sent from Diane and Alexis' New York office to defend them. Theo had a very abrasive personality, and Jason didn't like the way he was treating Brenda. Diane explained that Theo was getting Brenda ready to testify, and she would do the same thing.[17]

Jason was afraid that Brenda would crack. If the truth about Brenda and Dante's hiding the body of the Balkan's son, Aleksander, were revealed, Dante could lose his badge and Michael's parole would be in jeopardy. Over Diane's strong objections, Jason ordered Spinelli to do a background check on Theo. Diane refused to condone an illegal investigation of a colleague. After all the cases she'd handled for Jason, Diane resented his lack of faith in her and her firm, and she did her best to distract Spinelli from the search. Spinelli had decided to write the adventures of the Jackal P.I., and after overhearing Diane composing what sounded like a steamy romance novel, he thought she would be the perfect collaborator. Eager to explore her creative roots, Diane relished the assignment.[17]

Lucky wanted Spinelli to investigate a possible connection between Jerry Jacks and Alexander, the Balkan's son. Diane explained that because Alexander was killed years before, the trial had to be cold. Lucky called her on the fact that because she was Jason's lawyer, she knew that Brenda had killed Alexander and Dante had covered it up. Because of attorney/client privilege, Diane was not able to discuss the case. She did wonder if Lucky had reason to believe that the Balkan was someone other than Jerry. Lucky hoped that it was Jerry because then Siobhan McKenna and Brenda would be safe. Diane questioned Lucky about Siobhan's intentions to stay in the States if the Balkan were caught. Diane delivered an unsolicited pre-nuptial agreement to a surprised Sonny. Sonny called Diane on planning his divorce when he'd only just gotten engaged. Diane explained that it was a precautionary measure and wondered if he was having doubts. Sonny reminded Diane that he paid her to be his lawyer not his shrink. Diane assured Sonny that she only wanted what her clients wanted. Ideally, Sonny and Brenda would live a long and happy life. If not, Diane wanted to be sure that his assets were protected. She asked Sonny why, if he was as concerned as he said he was about the safety of the people close to him, he was he going through with his wedding to Brenda when the Balkan was a serious threat. Sonny told her that Brenda thought he was worth the risk.[17]

Diane was in the throes of creative storytelling when Carly arrived, looking for Spinelli. Carly blurted out that she had to stop Brenda and Sonny's wedding. She wanted to make sure that their conversation was covered by attorney/client privilege. Diane confirmed that Jason's generous retainer assured that it was. Carly admitted that she might have circumvented a few laws when she obtained information that Brenda and Dante had not only slept together but they had a child, which meant that Sonny was marrying the mother of his grandchild. She needed Diane's help in getting her hands on the copy of proof. Diane was incredulous that Carly wanted her to help in blowing her prize client, Sonny's, wedding apart.[17]

Diane chalked Carly's information up as one of her crazy schemes—twisted but genius. Diane was intrigued but needed the facts. She admitted it would be incredible material for one of her books. Carly explained that she had put Spinelli on the case, and she produced a document that stated that Dante had signed away all legal rights to Brenda's child. Because Carly had obtained the document illegally, she needed Diane to get her legal proof. Diane reminded Carly that Carly was asking her to get evidence against her most lucrative client. Although Diane admitted that Carly painted a horrifying scenario, Diane wondered why she would risk getting fired. Diane agreed to help but only after she swore Carly to secrecy about Diane's involvement. Spinelli had covered his knowledge of the facts by telling Jason that he and Diane had started to write a series of books about the adventures of the Jackal P.I. Jason warned Diane that if he appeared in the book in any way, shape, or form, Diane would risk suing herself on Jason's behalf. On August 25, 2011, Max and Diane ended their four year relationship and decided to go their separate ways. They parted amicably as friends.[17]

Mitchell "Coleman" Ratcliffe [18] is a fictional character on the popular ABC daytime drama General Hospital. Coleman has been portrayed by actor Blake Gibbons since 2002.[18]

Storylines

Coleman is the current owner and operator of The Floating Rib, formerly known as Jake's Bar. When the character debuted in 2002, he was the owner of a bar called The Oasis. One night a drunken AJ Quartermaine ran his car into The Oasis and in order to keep Coleman from turning AJ over to the police, AJ's then wife Courtney Matthews, agreed to work as a stripper for Coleman at one of his clubs. The arrangement worked out fine, until AJ - not realizing that Courtney had already paid off their debt, set fire to Coleman's bar. AJ's half-brother Jason Morgan ran interference on the situation and paid Coleman off so that he would keep quiet about who burned down the bar. He also threatened to frame Coleman for burning down his own bar, so Coleman took the pay off and used that money to buy Jake's. Coleman's association with the Quartermaines didn't end there, but continued well into the future and he was later revealed to be Courtney's stalker. When word arose that Courtney had a stalker, Jason was assigned to protect her, by her half-brother Sonny Corinthos. Jason gave Courtney a gun to carry with her and protect herself with and one night, after feeling that she was being followed, she shot her stalker, who happened to be Coleman. Coleman ended up in General Hospital, and once he made it through his surgery, he told Marcus Taggert, that AJ hired him to stalk Courtney, so that Courtney would stay with him and not move on to his brother Jason. Unfortunately AJ's plan backfired on him and his relationship with Courtney ended. Courtney then became involved with Jason, but Coleman still made plans to pursue her for himself.[18]

After a drunken Skye Chandler runs down Nikolas Cassadine, Coleman covers for her and takes the blame for the crime. He planned to help Skye so that she would owe him a favor. He wanted Skye to help him look like a better man in the hopes that Courtney would see him as more appealing and turn to him. As he tried to blackmail Skye into helping him, the two eventually wound up in bed together. When Luis Alcazar was murdered, a feverish Skye admitted to Coleman that she was actually the one who killed him, and Coleman with the help of AJ framed Brenda Barrett for the crime in order to protect Skye. Luckily it turned out that Skye really was innocent and was not the murdered after all. Coleman then hooked up with Faith Rosco, who wanted to use him as a means to get closer to Sonny Corinthos. While working for Faith, he continued to work with AJ and soon was hired to take incriminating photos of Sonny and Faith. When Coleman told Faith of his new assignment, she not only agreed with it but even offered to help him get the photos. After his association with Faith ended, he was hired by Tracy Quartermaine to steal a treasure on her behalf from a ship named The Courage. Unfortunately, a fire at the Port Charles ruined his plans, and Luke Spencer ended up with the treasure.[18]

Next, Coleman tried his hand at being a private investigator and was instrumental in helping Carly Corinthos find her birth father. When they learned that Carly's father was John Durant, a prosecutor known for his vendetta against the mob, Coleman helped Carly keep the news from her husband Sonny. They lied about the kind of man that Durant really was to keep his vendetta a secret. He then took a break from the drama and embarked on an exciting love affair with Tracy. However this didn't last long and soon he was right back in the middle of things, when he agreed to take compromising photos of Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine, so that Jasper Jacks could win back Courtney's love from Nikolas. The plan almost blew up in his face when Nikolas and Emily were jumped at Jake's, but luckily Coleman was able to diffuse the situation and later pacify an angry Sonny Corinthos. When Courtney died in 2006 from the encephalitis virus, Coleman grieved for her and attended her funeral to say goodbye to a young woman that he had always respected and admired.[18]

Coleman has since faded into the background and hasn't been heavily involved in any storylines since 2006. He has been shown to be really good friends with Dr. Patrick Drake and often gives Patrick advice on how to handle his love life with Dr. Robin Scorpio. In 2008, Coleman served as Patrick's best man at his October 31, wedding to Robin, but the wedding was interrupted when Robin went into labor. In late 2009, Coleman becomes involved with fashion icon Kate Howard and the two have been dating steadily ever since. In 2010, Coleman served as a juror at Sonny Corinthos' trial for the murder of Claudia Zacchara. Coleman was later dismissed by the courts as a juror due to his disruptive behavior during the trial.[18]

Ric found out about what Faith did He set her up to confess while the PCPD listened in. To avoid going to prison, Faith made a deal with the FBI to bring down Lorenzo Alcazar. Part of the deal was to pose as Sonny's mistress.

She turned on Sonny, and teamed up with Alcazar. The two planned to bring Sonny's ex-wife, Lily Rivera Corinthos, "back from the dead" to haunt him. The plan fell through. Faith begun working on her own plan, and at the next meeting of the five families, Faith had them all killed. She gloated about her accomplishment to Sonny, until Sonny informed her Jason survived the shooting. Faith panicked and offered to work with him against Alcazar. Justus had represented Faith's ex-boyfriend, and they had an affair. Faith's ex was convicted and killed in prison. She believed Justus intentionally sent her boyfriend to jail so that he could be with her. Justus denied this.

Rosco, realizing he was at the end of her rope, went to Sonny to beg for her life. Through eavesdropping, she found he was the real father of Sam McCall's baby and planned to use it to her advantage. Sonny eventually came clean to his wife, Carly. Faith lost her leverage.

Rosco went to Alcazar to help her leave town. Alcazar secretly planned to blow up the yacht she was on and frame Jason and Sonny for her murder. Alcazar's plan failed when the PCPD found Faith alive in the harbor. She was arrested once again, and begged Justus to help her. Justus agreed, feeling the need to make up for their past. When a prison inmate stabbed Faith, she was rushed to General Hospital, and from there escaped. Justus hid her in the basement of the Quartermaine mansion. There, she confessed her love for Justus and they made love. Soon Faith met her end in March 2005 where she was shot and killed by an assassin hired by AJ Quartermaine.

Alexander "Zander" Smith was a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. Marc Brett originated the role in 2000 before being succeeded by Chad Brannon, who played him until the character's death in 2004. Brannon won an Emmy in 2004, for his portrayal of the troubled young man.

Storylines

Zander breezed into Port Charles and shortly after kidnapped Emily Quartermaine at gunpoint after she and her friends had set him up for killing an undercover cop. While on the run, Emily began to see a different side of Zander. They parted at the Canadian border but Zander eventually returned to Port Charles, where he was arrested for killing the cop. Emily fought to help him prove his innocence and convinced Alexis Davis, who became like a mother to him, to represent him. Eventually Sorel, a known mob boss, was put on trial for the killing and found guilty, due to Zander's testimony.

Emily and Zander fell in love. He brought her pixi stix and climbed the window outside her bedroom to visit her. They made great plans for the future but those plans were halted when Emily was injured in a bus accident and sent away to rehab. Zander drifted for a while but became a good friend to Elizabeth Webber, Carly Corinthos and Gia Campbell. His world was shattered by the return of his father, Cameron Lewis, who blamed him for his brother's suicide during a hunting trip. Zander grew up as the unwanted second son, unable to compete with his older brother. Desperate for his father's love and approval but unable to find a way to reach out, Zander remained estranged. Cameron died in a fire originally caused by Edward, though history was later changed to implicate Zander.

When Emily returned, he lost her to Nikolas Cassadine after seeing her commit adultery on the floor of the cabin he'd bought for them. Until then,he'd believed the lies she told him about loving him and wanting to be with him. He threw his life away at that point and had a one-night stand with Elizabeth, which resulted in the birth of a son, Cameron Webber, whom Elizabeth eventually named for Zander’s father. Elizabeth returned to her former husband, Ric Lansing during the pregnancy and asked Zander to sign away his parental rights so that Ric could adopt him. Feeling he had nothing left to lose, Zander agreed to this but insisted on payment for his agreement. Zander didn't live long enough to see the boy, however, as he was set up by Courtney Matthews and Jason Morgan to take the fall after Courtney shot a cop during one of Jason's mob battles. Courtney and Jason framed Zander to hide Courtney's own guilt. Zander was also being blackmailed by Ric Lansing, who wanted custody of Zander's unborn child. Ric told Zander that he would see to it that Zander went down for the murder of the cop unless he gave up the child. Zander continued to spiral further out of control, becoming more and more desperate as everyone in his life turned against him. In the end, Zander was gunned down by a SWAT team who thought he had taken Emily hostage and believed he was guilty of murdering Officer Beck. He chose his own death, pretending to reach for a gun after pushing Emily to safety. He died in Emily’s arms.

Dr. Asher Thomas is a fictional character from the ABC soap opera General Hospital, most notable for killing A.J. Quartermaine in the year 2005. He was played by Larry Poindexter.

Storyline

Dr. Asher Thomas first appears on-screen in 2005 as a psychiatrist at General Hospital. He is assigned to Michael Corinthos III's case after Michael's biological father A.J. Quartermaine kidnapped him, and later died by being smothered to death with a pillow. At first there is suspicion that Michael may have killed A.J., and Dr. Thomas uses hypnosis to try to bring back Michael's memory of that evening.

Some are skeptical of Dr. Thomas, especially Michael's uncle Jason Morgan. Dr. Thomas was one of Jason's doctors ten years earlier after he was in a car accident, and it is shown through various flashbacks that in 1996, A.J. hired Dr. Thomas to kill Jason while he was in a coma after the accident. The plan failed but A.J. had been blackmailing him ever since. A final flashback shows Dr. Thomas smothering A.J. to end the blackmail.

When Michael remembers him as the killer in one of his sessions, Dr. Thomas uses hypnosis to make him believe Rachel Adair was the killer, another doctor at the hospital whose body had recently been found with a suicide note. Jason is not convinced Rachel killed A.J. and is still suspicious of Dr. Thomas. He uses an experimental drug to try to regain his memory of when Dr. Thomas was treating him after his accident.

Slowly Jason, Sam McCall, Sonny Corinthos and Reese Marshall begin to put the pieces together and realize that A.J. hired Dr. Thomas to kill Jason and that Dr. Thomas killed A.J. and Rachel. They confront Dr. Thomas, who tries to make an escape by holding Sam hostage holding a syringe to her neck. Right before he reaches a helicopter he injects Sam and makes a run for it. However Jason arrives just in time to rush Sam to the hospital. Meanwhile Dr. Thomas enters the Quartermaine mansion and ties Alan Quartermaine to a chair and tells Monica Quartermaine to get him out of town. Jason arrives and Dr. Thomas grabs Monica hostage, but Jason is able to shoot Dr. Thomas in the heart and he dies.

Casting

Bruce Weitz first appears in the role of Anthony Zacchara on October 19, 2007.[20] Previously Weitz was known for his Emmy award winning role as Detective Mick Belker on hit NBC crime drama, Hill Street Blues.[20] In February 2009, TV Guide reported that Weitz would be vacating the role after expressing his intention to retire from acting full-time. Weitz last appears on March 2, 2009, however he said would always be open to a future return.[21] In late June 2009, it was announced the Weitz would return for the July 9, 2010; however the brief return turned into a longer stint concluding on November 24, 2009.[22] Weitz reappears for a handful of episodes in February 2010 and May 2010. Weitz once again reprised his role for a longer story arch on April 19, 2011.[23] In April 2012, it was confirmed that the character would be killed off but Weitz would remain with the series in a recurring capacity as Anthony's ghost.[24] Weitz debut as Anthony was hailed as one of the most exciting performances of 2007. [25]

Characterization

"For the last several weeks, the characters on General Hospital have been talking nonstop about Anthony Zacchara, a mobster so scary his mere name makes Port Charles crime boss Sonny Corinthos (played by Maurice Benard) shiver like a Chihuahua."

TV Guide's Michael Logan[20]

The character of Anthony is first described as "a homicidal maniac who goes beyond Tony Soprano in craziness". Weitz himself describes Anthony as his character to TV Guide's Michael Logan as being "out of his mind."[20] He is also described as a GH's "crack mobster".[25] Weitz gives Anthony a "loud, bombastic characterization rife with humor" allowing the character to appear more evil and sinister.[26] Weitz also adds some much needed comic relief to the particularly gloomy soap.[23]

Anthony's hatred for his daughter, Claudia (Sarah Brown) is a big part of the character's descent into madness prior to his appearance in the series. It is known that Anthony didn't have a happy life with Claudia's mother, Dominica and his disdain for Claudia stems from her being so much like her mother. Anthony's hatred for Claudia is displayed when he doesn't show remorse after Claudia's is murdered, and instead tries to recruit her killer, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as a member of his crime organization.[23]
