Egypt Sherrod (also known as Egypt) is an American television and radio personality, who has been associated with programs such as The Maury Show, The Black Carpet, Home Delivery and Property Virgins[1] . She has also been a national radio personality, syndicated in over 60 cities, with Premiere Radio Networks.

Sherrod was born in Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting and telecommunications from Temple University[2] . She has also studied theater at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and is a licensed realtor.

She was featured in The New York Daily News, Time Out New York, BE Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, Source Magazine, KING magazine, Today’s Black Woman, Today’s Black Man and various other magazines[citation needed]. She was named #2 in Radio and Records’ “Power Player on the Rise” Top 10 list[citation needed], and also received the “Executive to Watch” Award from NABFEME (National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment)[citation needed].

She stars in the 2012 film Life, Love, Soul.[3]

Personal life

She had a daughter in January 2012.[4]
