Disney Channel is a 24-hour family entertainment channel available in Sub-Saharan Africa since September 25, 2006. It currently has two sister channels; Disney XD (channel 304) and Disney Junior(channel 309), though a Disney Junior block runs from 06:45 GMT/08:45 CAT,every weekday morning. It adapted the logos used by Disney Channel UK since it launched until late 2010 when it adapted the current 'smartphone logo' used by Disney Channel USA.

Disney XD launched on May 12, 2011 for the first time on DStv. It opens every day at 04:00 GMT/06:00 CAT and closes at 20:45 GMT/22:45CAT every day. Most Of its series are Disney XD series but some aired series are from Disney Channel. It also airs movies,most of which are Disney Channel Original.

Disney Junior is a channel focused on younger viewers aged 2–6 years. It launched in 1 June 2011 as its own channel(channel 309)from Playhouse Disney, however a Disney Junior block is shown weekday mornings on Disney Channel Africa.
