Daisy Shah (born c. 1984-1985[1] in Mumbai, Maharastra, India[2]) is an Indian model, dancer[3] and film actress.[2][4] She has worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya for 3 years.[5] She made her acting debut as a special appearance guest in the 2010 bilingual action thriller Vandae Maatharam, but her first breakthrough came when she was roped to play the lead role in the 2011 Kannada film Bodyguard[citation needed]. She then appeared opposite Salman Khan in the 2014 Bollywood film Jai Ho.[4]

Career[edit]

Shah was working as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya in films like Zameen and Khakee.[6] and later started modelling, doing photo shoots and print ads.[7] Kannada director Harsha approached her for the film Chingari.[7] She played Ammu in the Kannada version of Bodyguard. She then shot two item songs in Kannada film Bachchan and Hindi film Bloody Isshq.[8] She had also done a item song(Neeli Lomdi song) in Hindi film Khuda Kasam starring Sunny Deol,Tabbu.
