The Colorado Department of Revenue is the state agency responsible for collecting governmental revenue in Colorado. The Department of Revenue collects taxes within the state. The Department of Revenue has a regulatory role in the state, being responsible for the regulation of motor vehicles, gaming, and medical marijuana. The Department of Revenue further administers the Colorado Lottery.
