Jesus Malgoza,[1] better known as Chuy Bravo, is a Mexican-American actor and entertainer. He has dwarfism, and is 4 ft. 2 in. tall. Since 2007, he has been the sidekick (described as the "assistant") of host Chelsea Handler on the talk show Chelsea Lately. He usually relays comedic relief in the show and is the topic of many of her jokes.

Acting career[edit]

Bravo moved to Los Angeles from Mexico in the early 1990s to find work as an actor. He appeared in the films Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) and The Honeymooners (2005).[1]

Splash[edit]

In 2013, Bravo was a competitor on the celebrity diving reality competition show Splash on ABC. [2] However, he suffered a freak injury prior to the competition's first round, broke his heel, and was forced to withdraw. On the show Bravo said that he was very disappointed about his injury and that he wanted to show the world and a "special someone" (presumably Handler) that he was not lazy; he vowed to return for the second season of Splash if he was asked back and if the series were renewed (it was not).
