Personal life[edit]

Hardwick is a fan of Newcastle United, holding a season ticket at St. James' Park. Before starting work in Emmerdale, she lived on Lordship Lane in East Dulwich, South London and often toured the UK in live productions, which meant spending lengthy periods of time away from Tyneside. She is also a keen smoker and prefers roll up cigarettes to ready-rolled cigarettes. Hardwick has also been involved in protesting against the tory cuts to public services.[citation needed]
