The twelfth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation premiered on CBS on September 21, 2011,[3] and concluded on May 9, 2012. It consisted of 22 episodes. The show was moved to Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. (P/E), following Criminal Minds.[4]

Changes[edit]

Laurence Fishburne did not renew his contract for season 12, and was replaced by actor Ted Danson. Elisabeth Harnois also joined the cast as Morgan Brody, the daughter of Conrad Ecklie.[5] Marg Helgenberger left the cast on January 25, 2012,[6][7] and was replaced by Elisabeth Shue.[8]
