Blue Ocean Network (BON) is an English-language television news network based in China. According to the Chinese Communist Party's Global Times, it is the first privately owned Chinese commercial TV network.[1]

It states its aim is to provide "comprehensive and objective programming produced exclusively from, and about, China".[2] It is available in Canada, Ireland, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the United States, and more than 50 Asian countries and regions.[1]

It is funded by CDH Venture Partners.[2]

Some of the news anchors at BON include Fergus Thompson with "China Take", Joseph Nordstrom on "Biz Wire", Ken Xu host of "Micro Blog Buzz" and Neal Jones anchor of "China Beat" and narrative host of a number of feature programs.
