Beintehaa is an Indian television drama show.[2][3] The show launched on December 30, 2013. It airs on Colors TV and stars Preetika Rao,[2][4] Harshad Arora,[5][6] Naved Aslam,[7] Rituraj Singh.[8] [9] The show is a Muslim-based social background drama.

Overview[edit]

Beintehaa revolves around two cousins, Zain and Aaliya, who get married. As kids, Zain and Aaliya constantly played pranks on each other. Now grown up, the story starts off with Aaliya mistaking Zain for Zeeshan, her husband to-be, whom she is yet to meet. Zain takes advantage of this to settle scores with her. This leads to a series of misconceptions that eventually lead to their marriage instead.

Plot summary[edit]

Beintehaa is a Muslim Social encompassing the passionate love story of Zain and Aaliya. Set against the landscape of earthy Bhopal and the buzz of Mumbai, Beintehaa is a saga of finding your soul mate in the unlikeliest of places and learning to cherish the emotion of love.

Usman Abdullah is a rich businessman, living in Mumbai. He lives with his wife, Suraiya; Fahad, his older son; Nafisa and Shazia, Fahad's wives and Zain, his second son. Usman's sister, Shabana, however is a middle class woman, who lives with her husband Ghulam Haidar and her two daughters, Aaliya and Ayat in Bhopal.

Since childhood, Zain and Aaliya have been rivals and are poles apart.Zain is mischievous and spoilt. Aaliya is sweet and well behaved. Zain hates the concept of love and has slept around all his life and has many girlfriends. Aaliya, on the other hand, is convinced that love happens only once and it needs to be nurtured, and cherished for a lifetime. Usman is aware of Zain’s wayward ways and wants his son to settle down with a girl who can show him the right path and make him realise what he is capable of becoming. Usman has a beautiful relationship with his niece, Aaliya, and so, when a situation arises where Zain alone can save Aaliya from disgrace, he insists on their marriage, believing that Aaliya would be the making of his son.

And thus, begins an unlikely but passionate coupling of two equally headstrong protagonists who don’t see eye to eye. As the story proceeds, zain and aliya are seen having a joyous happy time together though many hurdles cross them everytime they come close. But these hurdles seem easy when the two come together and face the challenges with a strong force of their love. Hoping to see the two embark on a journey of true husband-wife love and support.

Critical reception[edit]

Within two months, Beintehaa has gained a lot of viewers and has become the most-watched show on Colors TV,.[10][11]
