Armaan Kohli (born March 23, 1972) is a former Indian actor, who primarily worked in Hindi films from 1992 to 2003. He is the son of the producer and director Rajkumar Kohli and actress Nishi.

Career[edit]

Kohli made his acting debut as a child artist in his father's films Badle Ki Aag (1982) and Raaj Tilak (1984). He was launched as a leading man by his father in the 1992 film Virodhi. That same year he was set to star in Deewana, but walked out of the film after completing the first shooting schedule and later Shahrukh Khan was penciled in as his replacement.[2]

In 2002 he was in the news when his car hit a man.[3] After a break from acting for a few years, he attempted his comeback with the fantasy action film Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani also directed by his father. He rechristened himself Munish Kohli and appeared alongside an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Manisha Koirala.[4][5] He made his last film appearance in the ensemble war film LOC Kargil in 2003. Since September 2013, he is a contestant on the reality television series Bigg Boss 7. On December 16, 2013, he was arrested for alleged physical abuse with his co-participant, Sofia Hayat during the show.[6] He was released on bail next day.[7] Armaan is also a member of CINTAA - Cine & Television Artistes Association [8]
