Anne Sergeyevna Vyalitsyna (Russian: Анна Сергеевна Вьялицына; born 19 March 1986), also known simply as Anne V, is a Russian-American model and actress. She is perhaps best known for her ongoing nine-consecutive-year run of appearances (2005–13) in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Early life and discovery[edit]

Vyalitsyna was born in the Russian city of Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod). Both of her parents are physicians. Her father is a sports doctor for a football team and her mother is a pediatrician. Vyalitsyna started her professional modeling career at the age of 15 after IMG Models scouts saw her in Saint Petersburg while looking for new faces for MTV's Fashionably Loud Europe. She entered the contest and she won a contract with IMG Paris and, later, IMG New York.[citation needed] She became an American citizen on 16 November 2013.[1]

Career[edit]

Within six months of her win, Vyalitsyna had worked for Anna Molinari, Chloé and Sportmax. She has appeared on the covers of Vogue, ELLE, and Glamour. She made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2005 and has appeared in it each year since. She was the object/subject of Joanne Gair body painting works in the 2005 edition.[2] Anne has walked for fashion houses such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Miu Miu, Chloé, and Givenchy. She also walked in the 2008, 2010, and 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows. She was featured in the Dylan George & Co. and Abbot+Main clothing campaign with Kellan Lutz in 2011.

Vyalitsyna has appeared in the music videos for "Out Is Through" by Alanis Morissette and "Misery" and "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" by Maroon 5.

She had an uncredited cameo in the fifth installment of the Die Hard movie franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard.[3]

She is signed with Women Model Management.[citation needed]

Personal life[edit]

In 2009, Vyalitsyna completed the ING New York City Marathon. She volunteered to guide a disabled athlete through the race for Achilles International and also Tweeted about the race in real-time.[4]

In early 2010, she met Adam Levine at the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue release party in Las Vegas where Maroon 5 performed, and the two started dating. She announced their split in April 2012. Earlier, Levine had mentioned them seriously dating for 8 months. Vyalitsyna briefly dated Scottish DJ, singer-songwriter and record producer, Calvin Harris in early 2013.[5]As of May 2013, Vyalitsyna is dating New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey after meeting at a New York Rangers game.[6]
