He was signed by the Sacramento Mountain Lions as a street free agent in 2010. He played college football at Rice. He has also played for the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.

Professional career[edit]

Shortly after Sendejo went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, he was invited to participate in mini-camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they never signed him.

Sacramento Mountain Lions[edit]

Sendejo signed with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League, where he played the entire 2010 UFL season.

Dallas Cowboys[edit]

On November 24, 2010, Sendejo was signed to the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad.[1] On November 29, 2010, Sendejo was promoted to the active roster.[2] He was released before the start of the 2011 season.

New York Jets[edit]

Sendejo was claimed by the New York Jets off waivers on September 4, 2011.[3] He was waived by the Jets on September 13. The Jets re-signed Sendejo to their practice squad on September 14, after he cleared waivers. He was waived on September 27.

Minnesota Vikings[edit]

The Minnesota Vikings signed Sendejo on November 29, 2011 and started the last three games at safety. In 2012, he ranked 4th on team in special teams tackles. He started 10 games at strong safety in 2013 and on December 8, Sendejo picked off Joe Flacco getting the first interception of his career.[4]
