Alexandra Nicole Chando (born July 28, 1986) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Maddie Coleman in the television soap opera As the World Turns, and identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer in the ABC Family series The Lying Game.

Early life and education[edit]

Chando is a native of and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Liberty High School.[1]

Career[edit]

Chando originated the role of Maddie Coleman on the television soap opera As the World Turns, which she played from 2005 to 2007 and again for several months beginning in late 2009. She received a 2007 Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the Younger Actress Category. In 2008, Chando was cast as Debbie in The WB website series Rockville, CA. She made a guest appearance on the May 14, 2010, episode of the CBS drama Medium as a volunteer for an animal rights activist group. She screen-tested with Robert Pattinson for the leading role in the 2010 film Remember Me, and auditioned for the role of Elena Gilbert in the TV series The Vampire Diaries. In 2010, Chando was cast as identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer in the new ABC Family series The Lying Game.[1][2] In 2011, she played Danielle in the web series Talent, which is based on novels by Zoey Dean.
