  • What makes Blekko search different from the rest?

From the start, Blekko has been committed to offering high quality, spam-free search results rather than blindly favoring keywords. Our search engine combines our algorithm with editorial curation, offering a human perspective in determining what people are looking for. We also feature an awesome privacy policy that respects our users. With our redesign, we are taking it a step further and holistically changing the search experience.

  • What are the major changes with the redesign?

    1. We no longer require users to be familiar with our advanced search features to see the benefits of slashtag categories. Users see search results that are organized by category without having to do anything extra.
    2. Our results are more image-driven and colorful, creating a more engaging experience while changing what search looks like.
    3. We provide lots of diverse answers -- the shorter your query, the more categories we'll show, and we're likely to show you what you wanted the first time. No more adding and subtracting words from your query, trying to tease the answer out of your search engine.
    4. The new site utilizes responsive design to adjust to different screen sizes.
    5. If you prefer the old design and functionality, go to edit.blekko.com.
  • What are categories?

Blekko results are placed in categories based on the search terms. The categories provide a quick way for you to jump to additional information without further refining your search. We feature thousands of categories that can capture multiple aspects of your query.

  • How do I see more results for a category?

Click on the title of the category to open more results for that category. For example, clicking on "News" will open more news results. You can then navigate through the category results using the arrows that will appear to the right and left of the results in the category box.

  • How do I log in to my blekko account?

    1. On the search results page, click on the "Settings" button located in the upper right hand corner.
    2. Then click "Login" to go to the login page.
    3. Log in to your account.
  • How do I view and edit my slashtag categories?

If you are already logged in, simply search Blekko for "/user" (without quotes) to view your user page and edit slashtags. If not logged in, follow the remaining instructions to log in and see your slashtags:

    1. On the search results page, click on the "Settings" button located in the upper right hand corner.
    2. Then click "Login" to go to the login page.
    3. Log in to your account.
